Jamal Moore @singjamalsing singing the Ahmaud solo in rehearsal this week in Corvallis. And for a moment I almost forgot. The music is so beautiful, the performance so present, that you get lost in it.
Then you remember why it exists.
That tension lives in this whole album. Beauty and grief holding each other. I wrote it that way on purpose. Because Ahmaud’s life deserved to be remembered in its fullness, not just in its tragedy.
