No one could’ve ever made me believe that one day I wouldn’t just be the “hot aunt” forever 😂💕 No one told me what having a child later in life would really look like…the ups, the downs, the fears, the overwhelming love, or the way motherhood would completely shift my heart. No one told me how the sound of her little voice would calm me in ways nothing else could. Or how becoming a mom would deepen my faith so much that it made me realize God is undeniably real. I thought my faith was strong before, but motherhood? Whew… it showed me miracles in real time. Harley Star taught me real love. Real sacrifice. Real patience. She made me appreciate existence in a way I never had before. She taught me the importance of simply showing up—even on the hard days—and also giving myself grace and taking breaks because baby… motherhood will humble you 🤣 But above all, Harley Star has brightened my world in every way possible, and I am forever grateful that God chose me to be her mom. April 30th is usually “the saddest day ever” as my phone will read. My dad left this earth 12 years ago and I always try to ignore it but this date always seems to put me in the worst space…. The rain, the emotions, and the devil were busy but I’m so grateful to my friends who pushed me to get up and show up. Thank you best @ari_gant who texted me every hour to make sure I didn’t allow the day to stop me from showing up🤣🥰 Thank you to @justinicocktails who always puts me in rooms where I feel appreciated, honored and valued. Having a mom/boss/friend like you has been invaluable! This celebration was so necessary and so rewarding. The atmosphere was beautiful, every mom in the place was smiling, the food and drinks were 10/10 and the service was TOP TIER! I smiled and laughed so hard I forgot about the hours and things that took place before I walked into this room. As a mom we deserve to let our hair down and be celebrated like this and I’m thankful you always celebrate me. What started as a not so good very bad day ended up making me smile all night, even in the rain. May you always know you’re amazing! Happy Early Mother’s Day. 💐
