We’re proud to announce another significant heritage project in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
Originally built in 1855, the historic Sir Charles Hotham Hotel has had many lives – and now, we’ve been engaged to lead its careful restoration and redevelopment into a 192-bed hostel and student accommodation with an additional 6 hotel-style suites.
Our works will include:
• Restorations to brickwork, balconies and heritage windows
• Replacement of Asbestos roofing
• Installation of a new DDA compliant lift
• Interior refurbishments
• A new lightweight retail/back-of-house structure
• Fit-out of two new cold shell retail tenancies
• Bathroom and change room upgrades
With live retail tenancies on site, tight CBD access, and the challenges of heritage restoration works – this project will require meticulous staging and technical expertise.
