"Miraculous Accident - Part 2" by @assafgruber
Now that the @kyivbiennial is coming to a closing in @msnwarszawa , I want to share share some insights.
Miraculous Accident is a double video installation unfolding between 1968 and 2025. At the Łódź Film School, Edyta, a Jewish editing teacher exiled during Poland's political purges, forms a charged bond with Nadir, her Moroccan student. Years later, a letter Edyta sent from Haifa resurfaces. In response, Nadir returns to Łódź to direct a film imagining her life. Combining archival student films from the Łódź Film School with scripted scenes, the work moves between memory and invention, tracing how love and ideology shape each other—and how cinema can become both evidence and haunting.

CHAIM HERMANN STEINSCHNEIDER
Live Broadcast/ Performance directed by @yaelbartana , produced and commissioned by @steirischerherbst
That was a tricky one. Since everything had to be live but we wanted to maintain a cinematic quality we had to have multiple cameras flying around in a well orchestrated dance with our main perfomer Susanne Sachse. Also the dimmer board operator had quite a lot of cues to follow. All while being under a tight budget and even tighter prep. In the end it worked flawlessly.
Pictures are just taken out of the broadcast.
