It feels like a dream come true to bring this camp to life. Ashley and I both grew up going to camp and felt the magic it provided to be yourself and create lifelong friendships. We are so excited for people to feel what we so deeply believe in at this getaway.

Make friends in Victoria 🫶🏼 each month I host an event design to make meeting new people fun and easy. Bringing people together is one of the things that lights my heart up!
A little over a year ago I started this project. I remember every name and face of the peeps who came out to the first event - walk and talk. Many of them were friends and a few were friends of friends. Either way, without their presence I probably would have convinced myself to move on to a different idea that this noggin had goin on. Or not brought anything to life at all.
Thank god for the 7 people who came and for the brilliant people in my life who said ‘do it! - start!’ This creation has brought me the most joy, vulnerability, tiredness, running around, counting pennies, deep breaths, really fast short breaths and massive fkn heaps of gratitude. I have literally cried seeing people make new friends and simply just connect with one another.
Community changes lives. And I’m not messing around when I say that. For each person who decides to attend an event, spend their hard earned money (in an economy that feels like it’s leaving you in the dust) simultaneously signs up to put themselves out there, feel awkward and muster up the GUTS to still try. It’s hard. If it was easy we wouldn’t have so many problems as a collective. At least that’s what I think.
Overall, I just wanted to say thank you. I’m a chronic ideator and to bring something to life that makes my soul light up is the coolest feeling and I wake up everyday counting my lucky stars. Thank you for choosing to be here, supporting, inspiring connection in your own communities and saying F no to systems that try to separate us. The coolest thing about this is YOU and collaborating with incredible businesses and people in this city. I’m being so for real right now, all of yall make it feel so amazing.
The coolest things ive experienced in my life were shared with other people. My hope is that you get that too with people you meet. I think thats something to acknowledge- I try to create the space and vibe but ultimately you decide to try.
I love you. Like for real I have love for you.

This is a hill I will die on— especially in 2026! For the love of all that is good and true PLEASE, GO OUT TO COMMUNITY EVENTS 💛💛💛 You will NOT regret it! I started going to community events about this time last year and it has changed my life for the better. I have met so many like minded, good people that are now my friends— just by going to events in my area 🌟 I started using social media to see what was going on in my city and (here’s the really important part) I went out to them! Usually by myself! And I talked to the people who sat next to me, basically! You may not meet your new BFF at every event you attend, but hey, you just might!! And regardless, being around new people and supporting local gatherings is such a net positive. I truly think it is what we need so much more of 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Sooooo about LAST WEEKEND… ☕️🪩👯♀️🧡✨ When was the last time your life felt like a movie? Specifically the part at the very end— right before the credits start rolling— where the whole cast is dancing together because the characters are finally through the ups and downs and get to live happily ever after?… WELL, that was last Saturday for me, and I imagine everyone else’s who was able to attend @simonsaysvic first Coffee Rave held at @deeranddoughbakery in Victoria ⚡️🍪
I got to see friends IRL and made some new ones! We danced with ladies who knew how to salsa and started a conga line that the entire dance floor joined!! I felt completely in the moment and only picked up my phone to quickly capture these moments!!
Nothing will ever replace human connection 🤝 The further we get with technology, it only becomes more abundantly clear that we NEED EACH OTHER and we will NEVER STOP NEEDING EACH OTHER
I am so proud of @camrynmajander for continuing to create these oh soooo vital opportunities with Simon Says for real life community to thrive 🌟 Know that every time I share her events it’s because they have changed my life for the better!!
