FF Grid Shelving Unit in Glazed Ceramics and Polished Aluminum
16”w x 13”d x 67”h
New finish for the FF Grid Shelving. A slender tower-like sculptural bookcase, made from a rigid hand polished aluminum structure. Through the grid-like structure, a cast form of the collection’s signature texture made of clay with lichen-like layers of glazes flows continuously through the layers. The polishing of the aluminum creates illusions of transparency on the outside, and interiors that glow, reflecting the light from the room.

Gypsum Cement, Hand Polished Aluminium
50.5” W x 13.5” D x 25” H
A low console, with a continuous cavernous void that spreads through a rigid structure. The hand polished aluminum reflects light from the room onto the interior of the piece, highlighting the collections signature texture, while also creating illusions of transparency through reflection.

Future Fossils VESSELS is a continuation on the exploration of highly textured forms through mimicry and mold-making. A series of decorative vessels which uses the same methods as the Magma Lamps; a slab-built, press-molded patchwork of sorts. Glazes and slips will always be unique on each vessel. Keep an eye out for the next releases this Spring.
VESSEL 03, now sold, was shown at @ensssemble ’s Pot-au-feu exhibition in Toronto this past January.
