Nous avons eu l’intention d’ouvrir en fin de semaine mais malheureusement ce ne sera pas possible. Désolé à ceux et celles qui auraient lu autrement dans La Presse, et félicitations à @laurengoodgal pour son entrevue avec l’excellente @_murielfrancoise ! @simonjohnsdesign , a designer with a background in fine arts, lives and works in the tranquil seclusion of East-Bolton’s woods in southern Quebec, Canada. As part a new serie, he introduces “Magma Lamp” a floor lamp made of stoneware, polished aluminum and thick blown glass. Molds are made of a hand carved texture, clay is pressed into 2 parts of these forms, and thick glass is blown into the last section. Visit our website for more information (link in bio).

@studio.ascetes , led by Sherbrooke-born designer and sculptor Olivier Bonnard, constantly experiments with plastic materials, studying their shape, heat resistance, and light reactions. @edithsevignymartel is a self-taught ceramicist from Montreal. Her work includes large, organic vessels and collectible furniture pieces. Her new work, “The Magdalene” and “The Salome,” challenge conventional notions of size and proportion, while adhering to the traditional concept of ceremonial vessels reminiscent of artifacts found in historical establishments.
