I’ve been fortunate to have some incredible dining experiences in my lifetime, but this has to be one of the most special. To all be together again for such an amazing night in such a special place is a memory i will never forget. @dcberan you are an amazing partner and friend. You have had to fight through so many challenges and your resilience has created magical places in Seline and Pasjoli. I admire your creativity, ability to tell stories that connect with people and trigger memories and your one of a kind pov. @grant_achatz When i first read about you, I was blown away not only by the food you were creating, but your approach. It was like a lightbulb went off in me that not only sent me down a path of a perhaps a too strong a love of food, but also served as inspiration for many of the ways I approach both my professional and personal life. And you’re both a lot of fun too. To the @selinerestaurant and @alinearestaurant teams, thanks for working on so hard to make these nights happen .
DEADLINE EXCLUSIVE: Erik Osterholm, longtime Bourdain producer/director and Down To Earth co-creator Michael Simkin launch Ultra Boom Media. The two producers are joining forces to create Ultra Boom Media alongside Oscar/Emmy nominated filmmaker Omar Mullick and veteran media and creative exec Carrie Kaylor.
Osterholm previously served as director/producer on both iconic unscripted series, Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown and VICE’s Emmy-winning HBO series. As a former SVP of development at Zero Point Zero, Erik developed and produced a number of series, including The Business of Drugs, Emmy Nominated Connected with Latif Nasser for Netflix, and the CNN original series Nomad with Carlton McCoy.

First off. The grilled chicken is a fantastic vessel for this challenge since it has very later flavor and texture. I oddly say that as a genuine compliment.
1) sweet and spicy sriracha - decent flavor but I’m not sure the combo is additive
2) Polynesian - don’t want to say much here because I know how personal this sauce is to so many people, but it’s not my favorite flavor profile.
3) zesty buffalo - nice zing and buttery flavor. My kind of sauce
4)honey mustard - this is what you want out of a honey mustard. Chick fil a is heating up.
5) chick fil a sauce - a lot going on here. Not sure what kind of sauce this actually is but I’m a fin
6) bbq sauce - solid bbq.
7) ranch - maybe the biggest surprise here… in a good way.
So to conclude I want to say great work out of the chick fil a sauce makers. Very strong showing overall.
In last place - I’m surprised I’m saying this because this is a sauce I would think I’d love, but the sweet and spicy sriracha just didn’t do it for me.
3rd place - the shocker. Ranch
2nd place - zesty buffalo
1st place - felt to me like it was a great representation of all the sauces with a lot of stuff going on Chick fil a sauce.

What an incredible journey this has been. Ever since I was a kid visiting my grandfathers restaurants in Canada, I loved being in and around restaurants. I also promised my parents I would never go into the restaurant business. Well, I didn’t keep my word on that part, but my dad and brothers jumped right in with me and it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. @dcberan you have been the perfect partner in every way. We’ve had disagreements, but never a fight. I’m constantly blown away by your creativity and talent. I hope this is only the beginning.
To @annhsing ; thank you for steering the ship and for never compromising on values and company culture. and to the amazing @pasjoli.sm team, thank you for all of the hard work and passion. We’ve built a very special little family and I’m so grateful. And finally, a huge thank you to all of our partners and guests.
