Happy International Hormone Day to all who celebrate and especially to those incredible scientists at the forefront of research showing the risk #plastic chemicals pose to our endocrine systems 💖

The number of couples struggling to become pregnant due to unexplained infertility is growing at an alarming rate across the globe. Alongside this concerning rise is the growing awareness of how endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) – particularly those found in plastics and personal care products – are negatively affecting our hormonal health and overall well-being. If we removed or reduced EDCs from the environments of couples struggling to conceive – dramatically reducing their exposure – is it possible their fertility would be improved?
In this episode, I’m joined by @drshannahswan , an award-winning scientist, and @siansutherland , a plastics expert, to discuss Shanna’s new Netflix documentary, titled The Plastic Detox (@unplasticyourlife ), where she enacts a real-world ‘plastic intervention’ in the lives of six couples struggling with unexplained infertility – with the hope that they are able to get pregnant by the end of the study. Additionally, Sian shares the strategies her organization has been using to increase regulation of EDC-containing products and increase the availability of plastic-free options. Shanna and Sian also discuss how they’re bringing their work together for the Plastic Free Babies campaign, which emphasizes why avoiding toxic chemical exposure during the first one-thousand days of a baby’s life is so important to preventing generational effects on overall health and fertility.

Incredible experience this week at @blueearthsummit . 7000 people, almost too much content to take in, abundant innovation and optimism but also hard-hitting realism of the urgency for citizens, industry, finance, policy, science to come together NOW to act with a singular focus - to protect Nature so Nature can protect us.
We built #PlasticFreeLand - a ‘seeing is believing’ world of PlasticFree materials and systems; proving emphatically that we no longer need the mono-dependence on toxic indestructible plastic. Because these materials are happening NOW, not in 10 years time.
Video below gives you a whistlestop tour of #PlasticFreeLand - everything can also be seen on PlasticFree.com, the world’s solutions platform, now FREE for ALL FOREVER.
Massive thank you to @_hhglobal_ and @oceanfamilyfoundation for helping make this possible.
Is judgement day here for the biggest polluters? As a new wave of responsibility rules are ready to finally force corps to pay for the broken systems that benefit them - our co-founder @siansutherland spoke with the BBC.
