my 2016 tumblr post about the video: โi was going through a lot when i wrote this album and for a period owls were appearing in my life at significant moments. i mean literally appearing- flying around fields and crossing the paths of cars i was in. i felt reassured by their presence. it made me feel like there was some kind of meaning or order to everything.โ
@subluxpunk play brighton on saturday- at time of writing there are six tickets left. this show is being put on with a lot of love + care by @brick_tfhc ๐ the last time i played brighton was in 2014 with joy of [BRICK], as part of a megabus tour of england we did together as solo artists, along with oliver catt (aka something), that joy very kindly invited me to join having only heard my bandcamp. the brighton date was at the wonderful max of @garden_centre_ 's house- he played as king of cats that night and in london. that tour is a treasured memory- being in the tour bubble, playing with these amazing artists every night. i'm still so grateful to joy and everyone involved for that experience. various offers + attempts to play brighton in the intervening years haven't worked out with bandmates being unavailable, etc. but i think maybe the universe wanted me to come back and do this with joy + with [BRICK] ๐๐โจ a special one for me- hope to see you there x x x
