Joining us in Dreamland - Shannon Gray
From the time she could remember, Shannon's relationship with dreams and the unseen world was profound; as was her relationship with movement, creativity, and the natural world. The merging of these passions led her to discover circus arts 18 years ago- gifting her circus homes up and down the west coast, and reconnecting her with her birth city, Montréal. Some of her favorite circus moments have been touring with Shoestring Circus, collaborating with musicians in the lofts of Montréal, performing above (and in) the pacific ocean on a 100ft. zipline, and completing a social circus tour with two broken feet. Shannon is compelled by feeling, fights for sentience, and creates art in order to connect. She loves her two blind cats in her little cottage in Bolinas, California, spends her time mentoring teenage girls in aerial and overall badassery, and strives to develop work that, unflinchingly, stems from the personal and touches the collective.

Something that we are really excited about for our upcoming show is so many of our favorite out of town artists are going to be a part of it.
Shannon has had our hearts for many years, one of our favorite aerialists and movement artists, her ability to be authentic and connect emotionally with her movement is something to behold. We were fortunate enough to have her star in our White Album Christmas show two seasons ago, as well as our recent Oregon Country Fair shows, where she delivered a performance so powerful there was not a dry eye in the house.
