Where were we on Akwati (The Box)?
As you well know, we pay close attention to every aspect of production in order to achieve the best possible results. One area of post production we do not joke with is sound (sound design, music score, dialogue, SFX, and more). If you are making films for a global audience, you cannot afford to get your sound wrong. Poor sound instantly breaks immersion and no amount of beautiful visuals can save that.
We mixed and mastered the sound of Mai Martaba in 5.1, which is a global cinema standard, and we did the same with Kaka. No wonder Mai Martaba secured a three year original soundtrack deal.
With Akwati, however, we are scaling the sound to 7.1, a premium surround, high end cinema. Na Hollywood things ooo. I go lie for you?
At the moment, there is no one better to handle this assignment than the sound designer of our Oscars film, Mai Martaba, @shaddij , who is in a faraway country. (I will not mention make una no use billing kpai am. 😆🤣)
