When we first embarked on the journey of AKWATI (The Box), it felt like madness. Honestly—it sounded crazy. One man, trapped in a wooden box, carrying an entire film on his shoulders? Many thought we were out of our minds 🤣. Even I was afraid. Taking on the role of Ahmad Balami was the most terrifying challenge of my career. The emotional weight, the psychological intensity, the physical strain—it was unlike anything I had ever done. There were moments I doubted myself, moments I wondered if I could truly hold it all together. But then came Prince Daniel Aboki. A director whose vision is fearless and whose trust is unshakable. He believed in me at a time when I questioned myself. His confidence gave me strength. It pushed me to dig deeper, to unleash my inner beast, and to breathe raw, painful, relentless life into Ahmad Balami. The first time I watched the rough cut—no grading, no sound, just the raw footage—I was stunned. I couldn’t believe my own eyes. Because what I saw was not just a film. It was the impossible. It was Hollywood in Kannywood. But more than that, this project changed me. Working with Prince Daniel Aboki shifted my entire perspective as an actor. It made me realize my worth. It made me understand that I have carved a niche for myself—one I never even knew was there. And with humility, I can say this journey will forever change the way I see acting, storytelling, and myself. For this, I will always remain grateful.
