I look a little different and there are so many new faces here, so hi again! 👋🏾 Fun fact I chopped all my hair off because my kid was convinced long hair equals girls and short hair equals boys. We’re rewriting that narrative over here 💇🏾‍♀️💛 I’m Vickeidy, the one woman show behind Sewspicious. I’m a mom of two, Dominican born 🇩🇴 immigrant, and high school teacher (currently on leave). I’ve been quilting since 2018 and I’m still obsessed. I love bold color, the brighter the better, plus black 🖤. I started out flipping vintage machines, especially my beloved Singer Featherweight 221. This space is quilting and also me. I believe:

I’m so glad you’re here 🫶🏾 - Me veo un poco diferente estos días y hay tantas caras nuevas por aquí, así que ¡hola otra vez! 👋🏾 Dato curioso: me corté todo el cabello porque mi hijo pensaba que el cabello largo era para niñas y el corto para niños. Aquí estamos cambiando esa narrativa 💇🏾‍♀️💛 Soy Vickeidy, las manos y el cerebro detrás de Sewspicious. Soy mamá de dos, inmigrante nacida y criada en la República Dominicana 🇩🇴, y maestra de escuela secundaria (actualmente en pausa). Empecé a hacer quilting en el 2018 y desde entonces no he parado. Me encantan los colores vibrantes, mientras más brillantes mejor, aunque también tengo debilidad por el negro 🖤. Empecé restaurando y renovando máquinas de coser vintage, especialmente mi querida Singer Featherweight 221. Este espacio es de quilting y también es mi plataforma así que aquí te comparto unas cositas en las que creo:
