@amivnails is a nail artist based in New York I met years ago when she messaged me asking if she could reproduce my work for a client. I said yes, and was instantly blown away by the detail and percision. Since then Ami has been the only nail artist that I work closely with. When I announced this project I had the idea of a football being held by a hand with nails by Ami. I shared the idea with her and within an hour she showed me a video of single nail and once again I was blown away and asked, “Can you make more?” The next day she produced this beautiful 1of1 set.

A year where my nail art caught the eyes of many publications because of the political messages my clients were choosing to wear. I found endless inspo from other Latina artist. Worked on plenty of creative editorials. Matched nails with my mini me. Children’s books served as nail inspo. Obsessed over liquid chrome and used it plenty on my clients. Used nail art as a form of self expression and story telling. This was also the year I fell in love with Japanese gel products.
When @daysi_jane texted me that she broke a nail, but homegirl was rock climbing. 😒 😂
