"It has to be grown in a certain way. ” We have so much respect for Jeremie Cometto-Lingenheim and David Gingell whose bakeries and restaurants in London @bigjobakery @jolene_hackney @westernslaundry @menuprimeur and in Cornwall @fitzroyoffowey and @nskfowey pave the way for a system of community restaurants supporting regenerative farming. They partner with Andy Cato of @wildfarmed . Andy’s pursuit of a wildfarming system where pasture cropping meets heritage wheat grain, addresses some of the most pressing health, diet, and environmental challenges we face in western Europe. Whilst the restaurants were closed, Shamil had occasion to meet with the lovely folks behind @serviceabnormal . Over beers (and bacon rolls) they shared reflections on restaurants and the moments they'd most missed in this topsy-turvy year. To watch in full, check out @serviceabnormal , where you'll find three series of beautifully curated restaurant stories.

Shamil Thakrar, co-founder of @dishoom , London The final episode of @serviceabnormal Season 3 is out now. It’s a lovely meditation on the nature of the food industry over the last year, and for me feels like a beautiful capper to the project in its current form. Many thanks to my brothers @samsbowl @taylorfawcett , Tom Welsh (sadly still victim to the IG tag ban-hammer) for everything, Shamil for giving us his time, and the freakish March weather for a perfect shooting day against all the odds. Head on over to the @serviceabnormal IGTV to watch — I think you’ll enjoy a lot.

Erchen Chang of @bao_london , London⁣ ⁣ Episode 3 of the latest season of @serviceabnormal is out now, and it’s a smasher. I recall first visiting Bao just before moving to London, 5 years ago, and to see them grow as a unique, characterful company, in a scene that can often be anything but distinctive, has been so great.⁣ ⁣ Thanks to Erchen and the team for allowing us to join them for a day last year at their newest, largest site. Full video now streaming at the @serviceabnormal page.

There's only one way we could possibly help you celebrate #Veganuary - and that's by letting you know that there are plenty of homegrown wines on the market that are vegan friendly! Vegan wine is by definition one that ‘will not have been fined, filtered or come into contact with anything derived from an animal or dairy source’. Many of the fining agents traditionally used in winemaking to prevent wine from looking cloudy, contain animal products, such as egg whites or milk protein! 🎥 @tillinghamwines via @serviceabnormal - watch the beautifully produced film on their IGTV
