Omar’s love and pride for The Bronx 🙅🏻‍♂️ was clear from the second we walked into @seisvecinos 🇲🇽🇭🇳🇬🇹🇸🇻🇳🇮🇪🇨🇨🇷 A son of Ecuadorian 🇪🇨 and Honduran 🇭🇳 immigrants, he grew up eating Central American cuisine throughout his childhood spent in the Soundview area. When his cousin Jennifer approached him with the idea of opening a restaurant with a focus on Honduran cuisine, he jumped at the opportunity to be involved. He told us: “I’m just extremely grateful” for Seis Vecinos Restaurant. “I wouldn’t be as close as I am with my family, I wouldn’t be the person I am today, I wouldn’t know this much about my own culture, my own cuisine” without it.
