The Bronx Week 2026 Press Conference was held at Storyland Book Haven in the South Bronx, where Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson announced the honorees for this year’s Bronx Walk of Fame. The honorees are music executive Lenny “Lenny S” Santiago, WNBC anchor Darlene Rodriguez, content creator Roberto “Fanum” Escanio, along with choreographer and actor Darrin Henson. Bronx Week 2026 kicks off May 1st. The four honorees will be celebrated at the Bronx Ball on May 16th.

Healthfirst and St. Barnabas Hospital collaborated for a Colorectal Health & Nutrition Workshop in recognition of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. The two organizations are raising awareness and encouraging screenings in older adults to prevent colorectal cancer.
