During my senior year, our school took us on a hike through the Malibu hills. From this spot, we could see the Pacific Palisades and even a hazy glimpse of the downtown LA skyline in the distance. I was so taken by the view that I sat down to sketch it. Someone snapped a photo of me, which has been on my Facebook page since 2006. Unfortunately, this view is now a thing of the past.
During the last few months I’ve been trying to mix my appreciation for sneakers with a more mature look. Dressing casual during field reporting is not always ideal. I’m going for a serious look. At the same time, I want to have people be like “Damn! Those are some fresh kicks!” A little bit of juxtaposition. 😂
