This week I represented our club and the amazing things we’re doing at @madfestlondon talking about building a circular economy brand and especially about why it’s important that we all keep inspiring everyone around us to make sustainable choices. It’s not being a perfect eco-warrior. It’s about ALL OF US making small changes and sticking to them. If we all do our bit, we will make change. Tessa Clarke from @olio.app ended the discussion with a message all marketers need to hear: “The marketing industry needs to stop flogging people crap they don’t need, and take on the far harder task of driving behaviour change at scale. The fate of humanity depends on it.” Yes!!! Anna Valle from @seedsofcolour talked about the beauty industry and how they’re upcycling organic waste to create the most wonderful pigments for makeup. I think there is, unfortunately, a lot of people who don’t care about the planet. So in that case, do it for the kids and their future. And if you don’t have kids and don’t care about the next generations, do it for your community.
