I AM GRATEFUL! 2024 was a blessing and a WHIRLWIND! I kicked the year off by running a full marathon in 4 different countries in the 1st 4 months! Disney Marathon in Florida (Jan), Tokyo Marathon (March), Madrid Marathon & London Marathon (April & April). Throughout the year I went on to run a total of 6x marathons (3x pacing & 3x racing), 2x half marathons, 2x 10-milers, 2x 10Ks, 3x 5Ks, 2x 1-milers and 3x sprint triathlons. 22 races. It was my 1st year in 8 years that I did not do an Ironman branded race, and I LOVED focusing on short-course triathlons and marathons. I logged the most running miles I have ever run in one calendar year, 814 miles, although it was short of my mileage goal for the year. I raced in 8 states, 3 new ones making 25/50, and 5 repeat states. For the 1st time I found myself on the top of a podium, 1st in my age group at the Mighty Hamptons Triathlon. All of this, by the absolute grace of God and with the support of family & teammates. I was blessed to share several race adventures with teammates & friends, and make lots of new friends along the way. The thing I am most proud of is learning to have and enforce healthier boundaries in my life, which I came to do through prayer and talking to my therapist. My most joyful race moment was running the Kalakaua Merrie Mile with my mom and aunt in Hawaii the week of Mom’s 71st birthday. What gave me some of the greatest joy throughout the year? Watching athletes that I coach grow & thrive. This year is my 10th year with @empiretri , that has very much become a family to me, and the relationships I have developed there have absolutely changed my life. I am honored to be starting my 8th year as a @newtonrunning ambassador, and I am grateful to be backed by a brand that has kept me running, healthy, long, strong and blister-free for over a decade. DM me for discounts. My goals in 2025 are to trust God more, follow where He leads me, serve the community around me, make a difference one life at a time and share new experiences with friends & strangers. Thank you for being on this journey with me! #medalmonday #motivationmonday

New River Gorge Rim to Rim 10K West Virginia State # 30/50 In my 50 States journey, I am intentionally NOT running exclusively marathons or half marathons. I am purely racing in all 50 states. Some states have been marathons, some Ironman races, short-course triathlon, trail runs, swim runs or a fun local 5K or 10K. I have the joy of experiencing different types of races on various terrains, all over the United States, while I meet the locals, enjoy the nature, music, and food of each state with a completely new experience. The New River Gorge Rim to Rim 10K was delightful and challenging. We ran 3.5 miles down into the New River Gorge, ran past 1 aid station, and then ran up 2.5 miles to the finish line. For the NYC-based people, that last 2.5 miles had the equivalent elevation gain as 3x the elevation gain of the full Central Park 6-mile loop. Hard, but not crippling. We are stronger than to think. There were just under 500 participants, so it was not crowded at all and that was very refreshing and peaceful. When I ran down the mountain into the gorge all I could hear was waterfalls, my own feel on the pavement, woodpeckers and other bird songs. At the end of the race, the race organizers provided an incredible full breakfast buffet of hot food, cool food options & fresh fruit. It was an excellent race and I had the joy of running with my incredible teammate and West Virginia native @heatherla78 and her lovely niece @morganmccartney_25 also joined us, completing her 1st race ever. Heather dominated her age group, landing 2nd in her age group! I am so proud of them both and grateful to share that moment of the transformative 1st race ever and trashing your age group in a very hard race. Go Team!

The hardware. 2026 medal is inscribed with ā€œMadam Pacerā€ because that’s how the fans cheered me on in my first London Marathon, and now that’s how I prefer to be addressed. ā˜ŗļø

I’m still celebrating the joy of running the London Marathon last Sunday. It was my 4th London Marathon and my 27th lifetime marathon, which shocks me. I remember when I had done maybe 2 or 3 marathons and Mona, a great athlete in my team, shared she had done 10! It was mind blowing. How or why would anyone do that?! And here we are. I’d like to remind my non-running friends out there, and those who don’t think of themselves as a runner. You can do a marathon if you want to. You don’t have to be fast and you don’t have to run straight the entire time. All 4 times I have paced the London Marathon, all different paces/finish times, I paced with the run walk method, where you alternate running and walking with very frequent walk breaks that allow you to recover during the run, and help you not to be so fatigued and destroyed afterwards. The London Marathon for me is like an International Pacer Reunion. You get together with family you love that you don’t get to see often, laughing and catching up on life, and you meet cousins you never knew you had. The Pacer Reunion and growing family, is a moment of deep humility for me. The honor of being among truly great and inspiring athletes. It’s so important to surround yourself by people more experienced than you in every area of your life, to continually be learning and growing. I’ve paced 10 marathons of my total of 27 that I have run. Many in our pacing community have paced 50, 70, 100+ marathons. It’s incredible. I love hearing other’s adventures and getting sparks of ideas of places to go, races to run and experiences to have. It keeps me motivated, curious and challenged. I encourage you to do the thing you think you can’t. Find someone who is doing the thing. Listen to them. Ask questions. Take a risk and do the thing.

LONDON MARATHON 2026 I am thrilled to report that this 5:30 pacer got her seedlings across the finish line in 5:29:10! So many emotions - I cried a little as I was entering the London Marathon expo days before the race—overwhelmed with gratitude that I get to do this…again! It’s so special, and a genuinely magical convergence of exceptional people doing exceptional things. I’m humbled to be here. Reuniting with runners from all over the world who I have met at other races & adventures, many who have been in my pace group of other marathons and athletes that I’ve only know on social media. Such an incredible moment. Race day started at the perfect temperate around 8am in the morning at 52 degrees, but that quickly escalated before my wave start at 11:12am. The London Marathon course is truly one of the greatest marathon routes in the world and the crowd support was TOP TEIR from start to finish! I can’t express how much I love being a pacer to have the opportunity to: 1) calm runners down when they are nervous and scared about racing a marathon, 2) answer all of their marathon questions before & on race day, and 3) set the actual pace for them to have a safe, healthy marathon with reminders, tips and encouragement throughout so they: a) do not have to do marathon math with mileage, aid stations & nutrition and b) keep them distracted from the pain discomfort of running a marathon. Yesterday was a beautiful day filled with gratitude, extraordinary accomplishments, many world records broken and endless amounts of human kindness. Congratulations runners and thank you for sharing this journey with me! Thank you volunteers & spectators! Thank you to everyone who was tracking and sending love.

I had the great privilege to moderate a discussion with accomplished athletes on International Women’s Day at the Rapha Clubhouse in SoHo, New York. On our panel we had the voices and experience of a dancer, an ultramarathon, a cyclist, a runner and a Team USA triathlete. We discussed what it was like for each women to get their start in their sport, what true inclusivity feels like, how our negative experiences have positively shaped our journey, the power and influence of community, the reality of perimenopause and women’s health issues in sport and the seeds of hope that we see growing to shape the future of women’s sports. Thank you to my fellow athletes for sharing your journey of courage & resilience. I am confident your experience and words of wisdom will be the stepping stones for many on their journey. Thank you to all of the men and women who came out and contributed to this valuable conversation. You were an excellent audience! Thank you @rapha_newyork for hosting us and giving us the space to have opportunity to have this needed conversation.

THE DONNA MARATHON Marathon #26 The Donna Marathon is a beautiful event that fights to end breast cancer. It was unique in all the ways. 3 weeks ago I was in Florida running my hottest marathon! This past weekend I was back in Florida running my coldest marathon of 26 marathons all over the world. Real feel at the start of the @262withdonna marathon in Jacksonville, FL was 6 degrees with 35 mph winds. I never wore so much clothes in a marathon in my life. The course was beautiful, going through posh beach towns along the coast. There was ice everywhere! We were yelling out ice alerts with our run & walk breaks! Even though it was frigid I was quite impressed with how the community came out to support the runners, cheering and providing food and drinks! I don’t drink alcohol at all and don’t understand how people can l drink & run. I kid you not, every 5-7 houses, someone had a table set up with fruit, Gatorade, water, candy and lots of liquor and beer options! The cheering & crowd support was top tier. Favorite race sign: ā€œPickle juice, beer, prayer, hugs, encouragement and live music!ā€ All were provided, I accepted hugs & prayer. Fun Foods on the course: 1. Individually wrapped PB & J quarters 2. Turkey sandwich quarters 3. Gummy bears A few favorite moments: 1. Pacing a friend and athlete I coach to her 5K PR the day before the marathon. (she did not run the marathon) 2. Having @kim_storey55 , another athlete I coach, in my marathon pace group, where she went on to earn a half marathon PR! 3. Taking communion mid-marathon from priests standing outside of their church serving communion to the runners as we ran past their church on the beach. 4. Co-pacing the marathon with my favorite co-pacer in the buz @kdmerc . 5. Shooting a basket and making it mid race from an 11-year old kid was standing on the street passing the ball to marathoners all day and letting us shoot baskets as we ran by. 6. Pacing a fresh new marathoner named Megan from mile 11 to her 1st marathon. 7. Getting lots of 1:1 time with fellow Jeff Galloway pacer Julie Conley before & after races. 🄰
