Some process photos to show the making of Wriggly Tin, a pleated box that started as a flat sheet of metal. Not sure if pleating metal like this is possible on any machine. But for now, my hands will do 😌 . . . #sedensworkshop #designprocess #prototyping #sheetmetal #metalorigami #metalfolding #arthritis

An opium poppy made from paper. Inspired by this highly stylized woodblock print I came across in a 1920s Japanese encyclopedia of plants. #sedensworkshop #opiumpoppyflower #paperflowerart

A heartfelt ★ THANK YOU ★ to everyone who came by my booth to say hi / feed me / keep me going for 3.5 long days @artistprojectto 🤎 It’s not normal for an introvert to hold all these conversations but I’m grateful for this experience. Back to my cave now… 🪨🥀…🫶🏼

Lewis Hyde wrote that the act of transference and circulation is what keeps a gift alive. Every fruit comes with a free gift, a set of instructions for the future. And so, the wind and the animals carry these fruit, and I receive the entire forest inside the palm of my hand. ‘The Purest Gift’ On view between Mar 27- Apr 17 @mark_christopher_gallery for Sunlight in a Deep Forest, an exhibition curated by @bbglowball 🌟

I’m very excited to share my thesis exhibition, opening March 27 from 6–10pm @mark_christopher_gallery Gathering works shaped by care, kinship, memory, and protection. Here, sunlight appears as a warmth exchanged between kin, held so long it becomes part of the soul, a tenderness that time cannot evict. Rooted in Kapwa, a core Filipino value of a shared inner self, this body of work moves beyond the singular “I” and toward relation: to ancestors, to family, to flora and fauna, to protection, and to the fragile but enduring networks that allow life to be held. Featuring works by Patrick Cruz @gentrified_amateur Philip Leonard Ocampo @philip.ocampo Miguel Caba @miguellcaba Seden Lai @sedensworkshop Aida De Guia Curated by (me!) and presented by Mark Christopher Please join us to celebrate on opening night 🍀 March 27th to April 17 Poster Design by @philip.ocampo Gallery hours are Wednesday to Sunday 11am to 5pm or by appointment (dm or email me!) Gallery is closed April 10 and April 12th
