Every January, agencies roll out the stats. Clients signed. Projects shipped. Meetings held. We don’t really care about any of that. Our goal is simple: Do work we’re proud of. Work with people we respect. Love what we do enough to keep showing up. This year looked like leading creative and communications strategy for Virginia MOCA, running brand strategy sessions for companies ranging from wine importers, shops and galleries in New York and Hawaii, to defense contractors in our own backyard, meaningful work with nonprofits and destination marketing organizations, major events like Sail250 Virginia—and launching our own wine brand, Sunday Best, just because we believed in the idea and the craft behind it. We also stuck to our strict no-asshole policy, which continues to be one of our best decisions. When I started Second Sight in 2022, I just wanted freedom and the ability to make a living doing work I cared about. Anything beyond that felt optional. Since then, this has grown into something much bigger thanks to a small, talented group of collaborators who’ve helped push the work further every step of the way. Grateful doesn’t quite cover it. As we head into the new year, the goal isn’t growth for growth’s sake. It’s continuing to show up. Not giving up. Staying curious. Doing work we believe in. George Washington… but make it 2026 🇺🇸⚾️ @visitfxbg came to us with a great idea—what if George stepped out of Ferry Farm and into present day Fredericksburg? A little time warp, a little fish-out-of-water, and suddenly he’s just trying to make it to a Fred Nats game for opening day. We took this from concept to final in about three weeks—pre-pro, casting (shoutout to our guy @davidwinningactor )shoot, and post. Super proud of how this one came together. This is just a snippet. With VA250 and America 250 coming up, George has a lot more ground to cover this summer. PRINT AIN’T DEAD. And whoever said making print ads is boring clearly hasn’t stood around moving things an inch at a time until it’s just right. One of those shoots where everybody was locked in and still cracking up the whole day. I feel like I say this after every shoot lately, but truly—one of the best ones yet. Great crew, great energy, and the kind of team chemistry where everybody can basically finish each other’s sentences. Had an absolute blast with @visitfxbg and George Washington himself in support of @varevolution250 Can’t wait to get into post and show you what we’ve been cooking up. 🇺🇸🎥

Sometimes the job is hard. Sometimes the job is just helping a great company tell a story they already live every day. This one falls squarely in the second category. Fairlead builds mission-critical systems that help bring the warfighter home. Our job was to help translate that into a clear story—not just for potential clients in the defense world, but as a powerful recruitment tool to attract the best engineers, craftsmen, and problem-solvers in the industry. Got a chance yesterday to explore the brand new @virginiamoca building—still empty, still pristine, still requiring booties over boots to protect those floors. Just some time to take it all in and shoot whatever caught my eye. Architectural details, weird reflections, textures, color… that good stuff. It’s quiet now, but not for long. These walls are about to hold some incredible work—like an upcoming show by @ninachanel and more importantly, bring people together. Artists, families, weirdos, day trippers, kids on field trips, all of it. Really proud to play even a small role in helping tell the story of a place that’s going to move a lot of people. #VirginiaMOCA #ArtMovesUS #secondsightcreative

Back home in southern Virginia, Sunday dinner was a ritual. Every week, without fail, we’d gather at my grandparents’ house —“Ree” and “Pop-Pop” — for the good tablecloth, the familiar stories, and a home-cooked meal that somehow always felt like a holiday. We’d clean up just enough to look respectful.  There was box wine for the grownups (usually pink), lawn darts in the yard, and a whole lot of love at the table. It wasn’t fancy — but it was sacred. If you missed it, you’d better have a damn good excuse. This wine is inspired by those Sundays. Not just the flavors, but the feeling: when you gather with the people who matter, pour something good, and share a moment that sticks. It’s a glow-up from the Franzia, sure. But it’s still about the same thing. Good soil. Good folks. Something worth sharing. #sundaybest
