Making is cyclical. It ebbs and flows, driven by tidal movements of the soul, invited by the needs of the world. What we make with our hands takes on that same human form, imagination, and character in the honesty we bring to it. And hopefully in the end we choose to make out of love.

One of my favorite kinds of work and shared labor with artists is translating their vision through a medium, embodying what they feel, hear, and see in themselves into a touchable, visible, audible form. The work of sitting with them to imagine it and then execute it brings me so much joy. The process holds a million small decisions that all point different directions, like a blank canvas that slowly begins to hold a form we shape and work within.
I had the privilege of engineering for @meganperryfisher for what became an album of songs that are imaginative, soul lifting, and deeply emotive. This is the first single from the forthcoming record, and I’m so proud of what we captured for each of these songs.
I couldn't count how many hours we spent on this. Tracking, working through the songs, talking about the direction, and just figuring out what felt right. They took it to the finish line and Im really proud of these guys. It's here, and its a joy to see it here. @esbernsnare and everyone who made this record what it is, well done.
