โ๏ธ From June 12 to 14, the Jamestown Settlementโs ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ will be docked at the Riverwalk Landing Piers as part of the ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ถ๐น ๐ฌ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐๐ผ๐๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น. The ship is a re-creation of the original vessel that transported Americaโs first permanent English colonists in 1607. Letโs take a closer look at her fascinating story in todayโs Yorktown history lesson! โ๏ธ
โ On December 20, 1606, the original ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ก, ๐บ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐, and ๐ท๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฆ set sail from London bound for Virginia. The ๐บ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ carried 52 for the expedition, and Bartholomew Gosnold, one of the principal advocates of the Jamestown venture, served as the shipโs captain on the voyage. Interestingly, the ship was equipped with a tiller for steering since wheels were not used until the early 18th century.
โ After nearly five grueling months at sea, the passengers disembarked on May 14, 1607, and helped form the Jamestown Settlement.
โ Beginning at 12 p.m. on Friday, June 12, visitors can step aboard ๐บ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ to meet her crew and see what life was like for the brave settlers who sailed to the New World.

One of the most fun projects Iโve worked on recently was helping @loveridgeva bring a new idea to life: an immersive glamping experience in celebration of @varevolution250 .
Revolutionary Rest: Glamping Like Itโs 1776 is an overnight experience that transforms a traditional glamping tent and weaves in colonial-era decor, storytelling and food into something totally unexpected.
A reminder that great marketing doesnโt just sell a stayโit creates an experience people want to talk about.

Explore three defining speeches by women who helped shape Americaโs civic life. From Susan B. Anthonyโs bold 1872 stand for voting rights, to Barbara Jordanโs commanding call to constitutional principles during the 1974 Watergate hearings, to Barbara Bush's 1990 commencement address at Wellesley College, a masterclass in how to handle protest in a free society. These moments highlight the enduring power of womenโs voices in American democracy. Click the link in our bio to Register.

In May 1776, Virginia stood at the center of a nation on the brink. At the Fifth Virginia Convention in Williamsburg, delegates debated the bold idea of independence as the world watched and history turned.
The Flame of Revolution, a VA250 signature event, brings this pivotal moment to life, commemorating 250 years since the Convention that helped ignite Americaโs break from Britain. Through storytelling and ceremony, the event honors Williamsburgโs role as the crucible of a new nation.
Witness the legacy of courage, debate, and resolve that still shapes our Commonwealth today.
