Yesterday, I faced the consequences of my actions. The race I helped save six years ago because it was too iconic to let die, a League format that I wondered might help the struggling domestic scene and media partnerships to cover it, the team I started to bring some racing chops back to the @rapha_rcc , the mission to replace the old H Van with something equally cool yet modern, and the idea to inject a bit more fun and vibes into spectating and bring the Rapha community together. All these decisions meant I got to watch @olliewood95 win the 70th @lincolngrandprix for the @rapha_rcc from the vantage point of the newly fitted out electric H Van, screaming my lungs out, after spending a day running around, vibing it up at RCC Corner and weaving through the biggest crowds I’ve ever seen at the race, and watching live coverage roll in via @thebritishcontinental and @monument_hq . UK cycling is a weird and wonderful scene, and it’s kept alive by pure unadulterated passion – from race organisers to the racers to commissaries to the individuals behind the media and brands that cover/support it – people give up hours of time and money to keep it going. I’m one of those passionate people, and sometimes it feels like a slog to care so deeply about such a niche sport, but a sunny, perfect day like this makes it all worth it. Went on a cruise. Wore a ridiculous dress. My esteemed friend @calumpentony loves a cruise (he’s even turning it into a side hustle via @pentony.travel ) so we went on a lil three night adventure from Hamburg to Le Harve to Southampton. Somehow we managed to get an upgrade to the Yacht Club aka fancy quarters. A lot of eating, drinking, gambling and #content took place. The @mustbemeek obsession began on day two. Stopped at Le Harve and saw a cool church (I dropped a candle). We wore full evening dress on the last night, even though we’d missed the Gala night, I promptly tripped up the Swarovski staircase. Got a lot of stares, but had a tremendous amount of fun. 10/10, cruises are great, would sail again 🛳️ Check out @pentony.travel if you feel inspired!

Making the dream of bringing a weekly fast women’s laps to the @rapha_london schedule a reality, incredible turnout, vibes impeccable 🔥 - Super-League is SO BACK. Women’s @cicleclassics was chaotically brilliant, and being back with @knacker71 and Aaron makes my heart sing. Men’s one next month, Sunday April 26, step up - Getting put through my paces by @kitkatchungky on some training rides because I’m coming out of ‘retirement’ to race the @ldn_academy Road Race next week 🫣 the back of the bunch better watch out - Went to my first ever football match, women’s Arsenal v Chelsea. Shouted “off-side!” and “Referee!” a lot. Think I fit in. - Went to a @london_cycling_campaign fundraiser, realised Jeremy Vine is actually super funny, fangirled at Will Norman - In the middle of all that, moved house and had a pastry at a local cafe that almost made me weep Life is hectic, but good. 📸 @kitkatchungky @honorelliott

Off-grid, trying to radically cut down my screen time. After the initial separation anxiety, its been surprisingly successful. The absence of doomscrolling, a strained meniscus prohibiting any cycling or running for a month (thank you very much, dog that knocked me over in the woods) and a gruesome chest infection/possible covid meant finding new interests to fill my time with. I started sketchbooking, I read 2.5 books, I did watercolours. I swam outside and I entered my sauna era. I sat in cafes on my own. I went on holiday and got a kick out of not posting about it (until right now). I learned some new words. I did my physio exercises. It ain’t too bad a life.

My #Festive500: 259km cycling and 51k running between Dec 24-31. Truthfully, I didn’t plan anything this year beyond a vague idea to ride or run every day, but it turned into my favourite Festive 500 ever. Frolicking in nature, soaking up the dark mornings and crisp sunrises, and spending lots of time with friends – new and old. Never a punishingly long distance but enough to feel proud, and to eat all the cakes, pastries and cheese afterwards. Exactly how the Festive 500 should be. When it came to the last day I had a choice between completing 23km to make it to 250km of cycling, or 6.5k to make it 50k of running. I thought, why not both? So I finished off the challenge with my first ever duathlon – @rapha_london NYE laps followed by a run around the woods, to round off a very life-affirming eight days. A massive thank you to everyone who was involved, whether as a riding or running buddy, sharing encouraging messages, or giving me lifts to lighthouses and listening to me yap on about it incessantly. A hybrid #Festive500 🎄 Starting some 2026 resolutions early: 1. Post more - stop getting in your head and just do it already 2. Run more - Longer, faster, oftener. Turns out trail running is quite fun isn’t it? 3. Be a flâneuse - find more historical oddities, look at more art, write in public places Last but not least, it doesn’t have to be perfect.
