very excited to share that i’m a @specialized_uk ambassador this year 🥲 the last few years may have meant shifting my goals away from trying to be the fastest gal on a bike, but now i still get to be doing cool things on the world’s fastest bike. still chasing speed, just the chase is a lil slower. feeling incredibly lucky, grateful + really quite rapid. road season comeback soon 😈 📷 @theoclarkes

thirty minute chasse potate for 4th at the first palace. didn’t have the legs when it mattered, not helped by some weird manoeuvre from an E12 man sending me off course through a corner i was hoping to use to close the gap ahead. don’t think it would have affected the end result, but would have been nice to know that for sure, and nicer still to have maybe not then spent half an hour in potato land. all good vibes though (and he did apologise), i actually don’t think i’ve ever successfully held off a chasing bunch in a crit before. not really my kinda effort, and obviously my brain tells me everyone was just messing around behind, and there was a crash, and whatever. but it’s deffo a little something to take confidence from, so i will, but pls in future let a gal sprint x big up @vicious_peg with pure domination in her first race with the seniors 💥 📸 @tans1ey

struggle with posting after going a bit viral (by my standards) because i feel like i have all these new friends i want to impress but i can’t sustain that level of entertainment in every post 😪 but sometimes life is more than falling off bikes on beaches and that’s ok x here is some of the rest of it, still just the shiny bits and actually not really reflective of the fact that 2026 has been a bit of a disaster so far. i started the year feeling excited and hopeful and motivated and proceeded to have a genuinely dreadful few months that i’m still struggling to recover from honestly, but sometimes it do be like that. thankful to have still found so much joy in between with bikes/the outside/more sunshine/the two best dogs in the world/hitting 900W/wout winning paris-roubaix. also shamelessly quite buoyed by the response to that BOTB reel - i’m on a 60/40 gender split over 100k views which i swear is pretty wild for chaotic bike race content??!! still male heavy ofc but gals LFG - i hope repeatedly throwing myself on the floor while chasing a result and still having the biggest laugh is enough to show that so many more of you should be doing it with me 🤭 📸 @theoclarkes on the crappycam

final crux setup for BOTB 🏝️ 🚲 @specialized_uk ’26 crux pro, 49cm 🍫 roval rapide cockpit 🛞 @schwalbetyresuk g-one RS pro 50mm: total cheat code for this race, fitted by the ever helpful @grant.l.wildman , with new clik valves. switched to black sidewalls as i thought it’d look better than brown but someone said ube latte about the colouring on the previous bike post and now i’m undecided 🧋 👟very excited about the new wolf tooth alt pedals for a few reasons but honestly they were a total fucker for this race, but that’s something i think can be figured out. easier to clip into(!!) but with sand in them there was nooo getting out 🙃 perfect before the sand got involved, possibly just need to be loosened to the max when it is. theo didn’t have the same trouble so maybe just user error / weak ass ankles i dunno lol 🥼finished with @gtechniqbike ceramic coating to protect the frame. bit of a tall ask in these conditions but grateful it’s not a lot worse 😌

was quietly hoping to make it onto the @battleonthebeach podium this year so mega happy to pull it off despite making many sand angels along the way. the competitive side can get a bit lost racing among a sea of men but there’s a big part of me that really enjoys that too (guys you actually don’t know how lucky you are to have so many competitors), and it’s so cool to have a course that rewards technical skill, big bunch positioning, small bunch cooperation and power in this particular combination while providing soft landings when i get it wrong. tbf almost all of my sand angels were a result of the sand + new pedals forming some kind of superglue with my cleats, then one particularly goofy one off the start line because i had the big brain idea of holding onto theo so i wouldn’t have to worry about clipping in, only to fall into him when he started moving instead hahaha. karma for tryna outsmart the start.. but otherwise i’m actually taking a lot of confidence from how i rode and kinda wishing we had a bit more sand action in UK races. slides 3 onwards all pre/post-race but the insta360 onboard reel soon come, should be a fun one. just gotta recover first 😖🫩

hellooo new bike 🫨 unbelievably excited to finally race on this after my body noped itself out of the cx season leaving me with double the fomo. gonna take a hot minute to get my brain back into racing mode but the legs are pretty happy and the bike is a dream, lesgoooo @battleonthebeach @specialized_uk 💜

january, balaclava edition ⁃ @skarperofficial launch at red bull racing ⁃ will gladly tolerate any weather so long as i’m back on a bike (and not on a turbo😤) ⁃ peak dog walking season on the upper lea, big appreciation for my constantly changing outdoors and old man picasso’s energy levels (even if he does now lose me when i’m stood right there) ⁃ health, training 📈 ⁃ boat life + cat bites ⁃ mudguards + fitting for christmas 🎁 thank you @theoclarkes

decided my favourite work project from last year should probably get its own post: helping to relaunch HEXR helmets alongside theo who does their marketing, so every part of this was planned by us together (except the location being limited to central london, always an interesting challenge with road cycling). i’m always very happy to work within others’ ideas/briefs, but to have more creative control was so fun and having it all come together exactly how we had in mind was honestly a real confidence boost. photographing bike rides, races and events is my bread & butter but i’d really love to take on more projects like this 😌 models @believethehype and @parleylk (and chief multitasker @theoclarkes in the urban helmet). all a total dream to work with 🫶 & ofc in the very best @attaquer

if my cx season had gone to plan then this post would be a really exciting summary with some cool visuals of me doing real gnarly cool shit on my bike like hops and flips and definitely not falling off and stuff, but it wasn’t to be. instead i’ve got a handful of pretty mundane clips from one dry grassy race in october, but here they are anyway so i can shout out the support. you’ll just have to use your imagination for the rest (and don’t hold me to that next year). the races i did manage were great - felt stronger, faster, healthier(!). felt like i was on track to really step up by the end of the season so it’s undeniably frustrating to miss out again after putting in all the effort and feeling like the stars were finally kinda aligning. but as someone who ultimately just does this all for fun, rationally i know that’s also no big deal, i can take the setbacks and look forward to the rebuild. i love riding bikes so enjoy the process regardless, just hoping for a bit more luck to enjoy more events next time round. i’m still not quite right physically, i mean i don’t think i ever am anymore lol, but doing better than i was and feeling more optimistic - so, 26/27 cx season see u there 😀🫡
