High Camp III returns next month, our annual get together for the LGBTQ+ cycling community in the luscious valleys of the Peak District. Whether you’re a gravel grinder or pure roadie, a seasoned rider or newer to the scene, set up camp with us for a social and community focused weekend of testing but beautiful rides, cookouts and the chance to meet likeminded riders from all over the country. New for this year, in conjunction with @bikeoutfestival , we’re supporting a free evening event on Saturday 6 June, with a panel talk featuring @emilyofchappell , @outvelo , @peakqueeradventures and @all.in.racing , followed by a DJ set by @n_i_kuu . Bringing the @rapha_rcc community closer to racing, figuratively and literally. Bathing Michaelgate in pink, we were impossible to miss at Lincoln. Our RCC racers were egged on by clubmates and fans as they battled up the climb. Between the peloton’s frenetic appearances, spectators enjoyed music, good conversation and @luckysaintbeer as the laps counted down. Meanwhile, at the top, the new Rapha H Van dispatched @assemblyroast coffee, cowbells and @lincolngrandprix caps and t-shirts to the crowd at a rate of knots. It was a perfect way to share our love of the sport. RCC Racing: Lincoln GP Race Report Five riders – Meg Barker, Amy Perryman, Matt Bostock, Josh Jones and Ollie Wood – took to the @lincolngrandprix start line in the signature grey racing stripes of the Rapha Cycling Club. It was a chilly start for the women’s race, and @amyperryman_ and @megbarker97 were caught out by an early split after a dominant team performance from @dashutchinson , but persevered to finish with the bunch after eight brutal ascents of Michaelgate. In the men’s (open) race, @mattbostock97 played his part perfectly after @olliewood95 made the breakaway, with Ollie taking the win and Matt achieving a mighty impressive fifth position from the bunch sprint, and @josh.m.jones rode well in a stacked field. A historic day for the RCC and inspiring to see the club so strongly represented at this beloved road race, united by their love of the sport. The next opportunity to see the RCC Racing squad in action will be the @racenocturne in Central London on June 13. We hope to see you there. We came. We raced. We conquered. At this milestone @lincolngrandprix , the @rapha_rcc squad came with intention, and @olliewood95 did what every British rider dreams of doing and raised his arms in triumph at the top of Michaelgate. Flying clear after a gruelling four hours of racing and 13 ascents of the climb, cheered on by our RCC community on every lap. 19 years after @deandowningcycling won the race with Rapha Condor, we are proud to see another Rapha rider take the win at what is truly one of the most electric and prestigious races in the calendar. Ollie Wood (Rapha Cycling Club) won the 70th edition of the open Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix. The race came down to one last ascent of Michaelgate. Danylo Riwnyj (Foran CT) had been part of the winning move before puncturing late, leaving Wood, Jack Rootkin-Gray and Tom Armstrong (Wheelbase CabTech Castelli) to settle it. Wood got the better of Rootkin-Gray on the climb, while Armstrong came back fast in the final metres and very nearly took second. Alex Foster (Cycling Sheffield) led the chase home for a standout fourth. Armstrong now leads the Rapha Super-League and the Open National Road Series. Next up in the Super-League: London Nocturne on 13 June.
