When I first moved to Scotland, I heard that @jamesmcavoyrealdeal was going to be directing his first film in Glasgow and it was going to be about music. I knew I had to be a part of it somehow. I didn’t know anybody here yet, I didn’t know how I could make that happen but through a series of very unconnected events, and deciding to stay at work later than normal one evening it all fell into place because of @laurenjlamarr and @john_scougall telling me I should talk to @danny_page25 . I can’t say I had a huge part in making the film, but it has been one of the most rewarding filmmaking experiences of my life, not only because the movie is incredible, not only because watching James direct is like a masterclass but because without it I would not have met Danny Page who has trusted with me more than he should and I would not be here in Leeds making @faith_the_film starrng James and @erinrdoherty without him. I owe him more than I can ever repay him. All that is to say CALIFORNIA SCHEMIN’ is in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 10th April, 2026. This is the official trailer. @seamusr0ss delivers a performance that will blow your mind, @sam_bottomley will give you all the heart imaginable and @lucyhallidayy makes me cry every time I watch the film. Golden Globe and Emmy winner @erinrdoherty (“Adolescence,” “The Crown”) and BAFTA winner @jamesmcavoyrealdeal (“The Last King of Scotland,” “Atonement”) are uniting for upcoming feature “@faith_the_film .” The supernatural drama marks the seventh film from BAFTA and BIFA-winning British writer/director @pawcorestar , whose most recent release was the critically-acclaimed and award-winning “Dragonfly.” Now in production and shooting in the U.K., “Faith” is being repped by both @banksidefilms and @logicalpicturesgroup for international sales and will be introduced to buyers at @efm_europeanfilmmarket in Berlin. “Faith” follows Gina, a hard-working and devoted single mother who meets a quietly enigmatic stranger, Michael. The presence of someone who appears to care for her brings a new and exciting dynamic to her life, despite the fact she knows nothing about him or what his intentions towards her really are. Is he a friend, a potential lover or something more sinister? I spent most of 2023 on the road directing a music doc about David Marsden, the radio station CFNY and the culture it created in Toronto in the 80s. It stars music superstars Geddy Lee from Rush, Deryck Whibley from Sum 41, Emily Haines from Metric, Jim Kerr from Simple Minds, Peter Hook from New Order, Steven Page from Barenaked Ladies, Lol from The Cure, Ben from Billy Talent, OMD, Blue Rodeo, Bruce Cockburn, and many more. Strangers In A Room is finally released tomorrow!!! If you're in Los Angeles go see it at the Laemmle Glendale. What a ride this movie has been. @andrerehal wrote this beautiful script he wanted to direct. He started talking to me about producing this as my first feature in between commercial auditions before the pandemic. Then @highballtv came along and said they'd finance it, we filmed at the height of the plague, no one got sick, and now here we are! The birth. @jjjonathankim @imshreyapatel @foadhp @imandymcqueen @ohchris @sharjilr all give incredible performances.
