Malawi marked World Malaria Day with a parade 🥁 🎷 - and the official launch of FutureGuard, a new initiative bringing malaria care closer to children. As climate change makes outbreaks harder to predict, and extreme weather cuts off access to healthcare for communities most at risk, FutureGuard is strengthening connections between schools, community health workers, and local clinics to help children access Malaria care sooner. The initiative was officially launched by Malawi’s Minister of Health, the Honourable Madalitso Baloyi MP. With support from the @judithneilsonfoundation , and aligned with the @greenclimatefund investment in climate-resilient health systems, FutureGuard is working with the Malawi government to help communities stay one step ahead of a changing climate.

From Mangoplah to Bourkelands today brought us to a total of 605.41km walked. The rolling hills felt endless at times and definitely had the calves burning, but when we Walk For Truth, we keep putting one foot in front of the other. Walking across Country and seeing the many scar trees and signs of continuous care is a powerful reminder that our people have lived on, cared for and been connected to these lands for over 65,000 plus years. Country always speaks. Today we also said goodbye to some of our dream team @kalkaddy and Ebony. Getting the chance to connect with Kal and learn more about the Torres Strait during the quieter days of walking has been a real blessing. Thank you both for your energy, care and for walking alongside us on this journey. Looking forward to seeing you both again in Canberra. In saying goodbye to Eb and Kal, we also had Matt Tinkler, CEO of @savechildrenaus walk the final leg of the day. It is important to have leaders from all organisations across the country showing leadership and walking for truth. If you believe this country needs a national truth telling process, we need your support now more than ever. Please add your name to the open letter and continue sharing it far and wide. This country can only truly move forward and heal when we are willing to tell the truth. Head to to sign the open letter and register to join us for a leg of the walk. #walkfortruth #walk #truth #culture society

well well well when a little stop by save the children Mosman park turns into one of those stops to remember Now of course I love popping by this store and honestly I have been neglecting it since moving because while it’s small in size the staff are the sweeeetest women and they get fantastic stock because once I spotted the @zimmermann I had a gut feeling my preloved guardian angels were watching out for me beucase between the @henne_ @viktoriaandwoods @_aje_ @ullajohnson and my personal favourite @sir__ I knew I was in the right place at the right time And while a lot of the suing and fits we aren’t 100% for me being about to walk away with a $350 @henne_ dress with the tags still on and a @camillaandmarc I didn’t even realise was $850 RPPi think I was ONTO it So while I know you’ll be saving this one for next time you’ll have to let me know what you think! Mwah catch you next time!! #opshop #prelovedfashion #thriftedfinds #personalstyle #sustainablefashion

When 10-year-old Pa grows up, she wants to be a doctor or a teacher. She lives in a rural, ethnic community in Lao PDR, where financial pressures often push girls out of school. Pa was at risk of dropping out – but with a GPE-funded scholarship, she’s still learning and dreaming. With a @gpforeducation grant of $10 million and implementation support from @savechildrenaus , the Ministry of Education and Sports' Foundational Learning Improvement Program is strengthening children’s literacy and numeracy skills – helping children, especially girls, complete lower secondary school. Keeping girls in school is one of the most effective ways to prevent child marriage, support equal participation in society, and promote development and growth. #FundEducation #MultiplyPossibility

A proven malaria model in #Malawi is now scaling. On #WorldMalariaDay, this marks an important next step aiming to reach more than 380,000 children by 2028. @savechildrenaus and the Government of Malawi are bringing malaria care closer to children through schools, community health workers and stronger digital systems, with investment from the @greenclimatefund helping strengthen Malawi’s broader climate resilient health system. Teachers are being trained to diagnose and treat uncomplicated malaria in schools, helping children who live far from the nearest health facility access care faster. Community health workers are reaching younger children through nearby village clinics, while digital systems are improving real time reporting, stock management and outbreak response. This is what stronger public health systems look like: care reaching children earlier, closer to home and at greater scale. 📸@savechildrenaus

Swipe for a dose of hope ➡️ These young people aren’t waiting around. They’re speaking up, looking out for each other, and shaping a safer online world. Honest, brave, and coming straight from lived experience, this is what it looks like when young people have a voice (and use it). Backed by @westpac , they’re building the skills and confidence to navigate being online, and keeping their peers safe in the process. Thank you Andrei, Kylie and Justine. We’re with you every step of the way.

This is how Indonesian kids are learning to adapt to rising seas 🌊 They build models of their communities, then test them with water - learning what happens, how to stay safe, and how families can build back better. With support from @dfat , they’re building resilience to climate change in Indonesia, one step at a time.

Rising conflict and insecurity could push millions of people around the world into poverty. Three quarters of Australians think Australia should maintain or increase the aid budget. Comment “Pledge” below to show your support and let the Australian Government know that the world needs #AustralianAid more than ever.
