Hey 2026 grads! 🎓
It’s officially time to meet your MC for Saskatchewan Polytechnic Convocation 2026! ✨
Please welcome Sandy Howe, Associate Vice President of Student Services! We’re excited to have Sandy guiding us through this year’s celebrations as we honour the incredible achievements of our graduates.
From your very first day of classes to your final steps across the Convocation stage - we are so proud of you!
Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have brought you to this moment, and we can’t wait to celebrate everything you’ve accomplished. 👏✨🎓
A huge thank you to @cawkwellgroup for their continued support of our men’s volleyball team this season! 🏐
Your commitment to excellence, community, and supporting student-athletes helps create opportunities for our team to grow both on and off the court. We’re proud to have you as part of the Amaruks family!
Happy National Nursing Week! 🩺
National Nursing Week 2026 takes place from Monday, May 11, to Sunday, May 17. This year’s theme is "The Power of Nurses to Transform Health." This theme highlights the incredible impact nurses have in shaping healthcare, driving innovation, and advocating for patient-centred care.
We're proud of the ongoing efforts of our Student Health Nurses, who administer over 10,000 vaccines each academic year to prepare students for clinical placements. Further, our Student Health Nurse team has responded to our student community's health promotion needs and have increased their health promotion activities and support this year on every campus, including increased sexual health and women's health education and support.
Students: remember that Student Health Nurses are here for you at all main @saskpolytech campuses. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed or need treatment, support, or health information, our Registered Nurses are available to help – confidentially and conveniently. Services include health promotion, immunizations for clinical placements, minor first aid, over-the-counter medication, and general student support.
To all nurses: THANK YOU for your dedication to transforming health for the Sask Polytech student community!

Meet our final graduate spotlight from Prince Albert campus - DeAnna Bendig from the Practical Nursing program!
What’s something you’re proud of?
"Now that I’m almost finished my program, I am most proud of saying yes to opportunities. I made a conscious effort to get the most out of my time at Sask Polytech by attending events, volunteering, and building connections with people. I truly feel like I took full advantage of my time at Sask Polytech. I am also incredibly proud of myself for balancing school while being a mom to a four- and six-year-old. Managing both home and school life hasn’t always been easy, but it has been rewarding. Being able to show my girls the value of hard work, dedication, and pursuing personal goals means a great deal to me, and I hope I’ve been a strong role model for them."
What’s next after graduation?
“My next step is to graduate and begin my career as a nurse here in Prince Albert. My primary focus will be on building confidence and clinical competence as a new nurse, ensuring I can provide safe, compassionate, and effective care. Once I have gained valuable experience, I hope to work in northern communities where healthcare support is greatly needed. In the future, I am also interested in continuing my education and potentially pursuing Registered Nursing.”
DeAnna, you inspire us all! Congratulations!
Graduate Spotlight - Saskatoon Campus
Meet one of our outstanding graduates from the Food and Nutrition Management program:
What’s something you’re proud of?
“I’m most proud that I took a leap of faith to pursue further education—and that I stuck with it, even when things felt tough or the material didn’t always feel relevant. My time at Sask Polytech has taught me so much, and I’m excited to carry those lessons forward.”
What’s next after graduation?
“After finishing my program, I plan to return to my home community and continue building my small food business. In the future, I hope to open a Food Bank/Community Centre, inspired by my practicum experience at the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre.”
Marz, your journey is just getting started - we can't wait to see the positive impact you will make!
Our second graduate spotlight: Bri Colenutt, a Computer Engineering Technology student from our Moose Jaw Campus.
We asked Bri, what are you proud of? "The program has a heavy workload. I am proud that I was able to manage this and make it through to the end."
What is next? "The Co-operative work terms have already helped me apply my skills in the work environment. Now I will begin seeking job opportunities where I can continue to apply my education."
Your future is so bright and we can't to see you shine! 💫 Way to go Bri!
