NowHere Lisboa apresenta This wall grows at its root, uma performance solo de Sana Ghobbeh, nos dias 16 e 17 de abril, às 20h. This wall grows at its root coloca em diálogo leituras arquitetônicas da opressão com narrativas interpessoais ocultas, desdobrando-se como uma exploração poética do espaço urbano. The lending service of the Festivities Department at the Wiedauwkaai was once the Mechelynck sugar factory. Looking forward to April 3 & 4 as Sana Ghobbeh is performing her brand new work 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒔 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒅 at Beursschouwburg for the first time! Exploring the historic industrial ties between Belgium and Iran in the sugar industry, Sana shines a light on the old ruïne of the sugarfactory in Kahrizak (Iran). A seed sown in a once fertile landscape of lush lawns, brimming with promise and nurturing dreams of progress and the bloom of industrialization, now stands as a profound symbol of what was lost and sacrificed as ambition reshaped the landscape. Created by this amazing team 🌸 Sana Ghobbeh, Arezoo Khazanbeig, Maarten Van den Bussche, Jan Maertens, Samah Hijawi & Myriam Van Imschoot @sanaghobbeh @arezoo_khb @m_v.d.b @samah.hijawi @myriamvanimschoot Tickets available @beursschouwburg 3 & 4 April - premiere!
