For the past few weeks, i've been working as part of the production team on @t4plive . The situation is worse than anything that I ever imagined it could get to. Properly head frying. I get that it is galling seeing people deciding to show up now when they’ve been silent for two years. I’m angry too. But building mass consensus is one of the main aims of campaigning. Change will only happen when the majority of people are on board. Who are a lot of you to decide that it’s too late for individuals? Do you speak for the people who are suffering who are calling for the world to do something or for your own ego? Most of you weren’t saying a word about the occupation before October 7. This isn’t a criticism - it is just context. Now isn’t the time for infighting. Direct the anger and energy towards the politicians and companies that are complicit ✌️

Three projector interactive installation design and build for the launch of Step in Time, an amazing new book by @rollojackson & @thiscityplays , profiling the life and work of unsung underground hero Kenny “the sting” King. We had three videos of old archive footage from three defining eras of sting’s career: life utopia, telepathy and Deja vu. The audience could choose which audio they could hear via a mixer in the middle of the room. Unsurprisingly the Deja vu vids got the most love (dizzee v titch, jammers bday etc). Night finished with a party in the basement of Cuts barber shop with DLux, Titus, front left life and Rollo with loads of the old heads jumping on the mic. Thanks so much to Rollo and Brav for getting me on board. Really special project which was made clear by seeing how much both the process and finished book meant to sting and people around him. Proper celebratory, non-extractive archival work. Go get it!
