I found a new or ‘better’/‘more real (to me)’ way to memorialise and re inscribe space by repurposing and layering discarded darkroom tests over my final prints, as a means of breaking with conventional aesthetic language. The elements depicted in the images obtain a new physicality, portraying the layers existing in space and the layers that have developed through the process of making the image.
