Salon Souterrain: Confort Out weist die Vorstellung makelloser Vollendung zurück und stellt stattdessen die Narbe und die erfinderische Reparatur in den Mittelpunkt. Er schlägt eine konkrete und beharrliche Weise vor, Raum und Blick einzunehmen – eine Form des Widerstands, in der Verletzlichkeit zu einer bewusst gesetzten Geste der Subversion wird. In einer Welt, die von gefilterten Bildern und kurzlebigen Produkten überflutet ist, kritisiert Salon Souterrain den von sozialen Netzwerken und beschleunigtem Konsum befeuerten Kult der Perfektion. Die eingeladenen Künstler*innen laden dazu ein, persönliche und gesellschaftliche Brüche ebenso wie die Spuren von Abnutzung und materieller Transformation als Zeichen von Authentizität zu erkennen – im Gegensatz zu Hyperproduktivität und schneller Obsoleszenz. Der @salonsouterrain.at , initiiert von der Künstlerin @elisabethtambwe , ist eine Veranstaltungsreihe, die soziale Fragen in einem künstlerischen Format verhandelt. Der Projektraum wird zu einem offenen Raum, der zugleich Bühne, Ausstellung und Treffpunkt ist. Durch Diskussionen, Performances, Musik und künstlerische Experimente entstehen neue Verbindungen und Perspektiven. Der Salon schafft nicht nur soziale Begegnungen, sondern hinterfragt auch Themen wie Territorialität, Zugehörigkeit und Dezentralisierung von Kunst und Kultur.
