Doctors for Sexual and Reproductive Justice Dr Amit, Rijan and Rakshya are the small team at the heart of @srjdocs, based in Kathmandu, Nepal.Since receiving a SAAF grant in 2025 they have already formally registered as an independent organisation and started training medical professionals across the country to deliver stigma-busting workshops on abortion rights to their colleagues.Though Nepal has a liberal #abortion law on paper, stigma and providers’ attitudes can still be a barrier and @srjdocs wants to see services actually become accessible for all. #safeabortion #abortionishealthcare #SRJDocs

The law has been updated to ensure that #abortion is available on request up to 22 weeks and is free of charge for all citizens as part of the national healthcare package.Many congrats to SAAF grantee partner @fpa.kg for their vital work on this positive change.
