This is really exciting - I directed this new comedy pilot written by the hilarious @eileentraceyfilm , produced by class act @ncoupe and shot by the brilliant @matt_wicks_dop . It stars comedy geniuses @amymolloysturizer Ellie McKay and @kittykafka1
It’s on iPlayer now and on BBC3 tonight at 22:15 so please give it a watch!

🦖 BESIDE MYSELF. I‘ve written a children’s book. It’s called Bernard the Irish Dinosaur and it’s about being yourself. Beautifully illustrated by @phillip.cullen and published by @odonnell.press . I don’t have a full list of distributors yet but O’Donnell Press has a book stall every Sunday in St George’s market. Also currently available in a few local shops like @2020gifted in Whitehead and Lilly Moo Moo in The Outlet, Banbridge. I’ll list more when I hear about them!
While shooting RAT, our own house in North Belfast happened to also have a horrendous rat problem (such a laugh, not at all a nightmarish hellscape). This absolute unit I’m holding with the bbq tongs escaped two traps and then died under our living room floorboards (but how cute do I look with my stress rash? xo) Anyway. My personal rat trauma is in no way related to the film but these pictures (which we took as evidence for the letting agent 😘) very much feel like an advert for it. 📢 RAT @qftbelfast - SATURDAY 6 NOVEMBER 2pm - @belfastfilmfestival . 🚨 Very excited to share the screen with the brilliant @youareherefilm from @willmcconnellfilms 🎟🎟🎟
