The finally(!) hot weather crashing back into rainy cold this week took me straight back to this Fire Island moment from 2023, when a lightning storm tore through while I was trying to bring psytrance to the pines during an afters set.
A love letter to the original in 2024. F****** are women. Three stories, rooms within rooms, a little world with its own charm, ceiling dust falling indistinguishable from the fog machine. It flooded the day before - we shop-vac’d the basement because that room’s energy was non-negotiable. Unrepeatable venue. Soooo fab! FAW 1.0 w/ Kay, Patrick, Seva, and Patito.
