Kelvin has applied his skills over the years to several hundred images, spanning the whole Levantine region. The majority of proceeds go directly to support @apnorg "Revive G/a/z/a's Farmland" project, providing seeds, cultivation, and fair access to markets for farmers in G/a/z/a, while the rest is fairly distributed among the participating artists. RUST DUO / Festival Slunovrat 2026 Žhavá hvězda bejrútské undergroundové scény rozzáří sobotní noc na Festival Slunovrat 2026 Když Vojtěch stage uzavřou Midi Lidi večírek ještě zdaleka neskončí. V Breda Opava vás bude čekat Rust - syrsko-libanonské duo, které čerpá vliv z tradiční arabské hudebnosti, přidává originální skladby a silné vokály a vytváří podmanivé zvukové krajiny Electro-Tarab. Syrský elektroproducent Hany Manja žije dlouhá léta v Praze, kde pilně navštěvoval Synth Library. S libanonskou zpěvačkou Petrou Hawi se ovšem potkali v Bejrútu, prostředí alternativních rockerů, elektroniků, experimentálních jazzmanů, výtvarníků, filmařů, literátů a vizuálních tvůrců. Navzdory, anebo naopak právě díky prostředí nefungujícího státu a válečnému nebezpečí patří bejrútský umělecký underground na Blízkém východě mezi ty nejprogresivnější. Rust jsou odhodláni zpochybnit tradiční představy o arabské identitě a vytvořit vlastní zvukový výraz. Pro dvojici, ale i pro blízkovýchodní scénu obecně, je důležité zdůraznit skrze hudbu svou identitu a tím se vymanit z neuctivého západního klišé, házejícího arabskou a berberskou hudbu do jednoho orientálního pytle. „Naší hudbou svět nezměníme, přesto se pokoušíme změnit aspoň pohled světa na nás,“ by mohlo znít motto mnoha hudebníků současné arabské elektronické scény. Rust hledají pro tradiční arabskou hudbu i převzaté písně arabských velikánů nové výzvy, usazují je do rytmy pulsující elektronické krajiny a zdůrazňují hluboký vztah k arabské poezii.
