Still riding high after running a 13:16 100 miler. I’ve been holding off posting on IG, spending time trying to figure out my thoughts since Saturday night and honestly am still putting the pieces together mentally.
.
.
In short: I had a pie in the sky goal for myself. I surrounded myself with people who I knew could help me get there. And I worked my ass off.
.
.
The best races tend to come with the worst stories. I ran a race with nearly no low points, and most importantly never once stopped believing in myself. I knew it was my day to run the race I dreamed of. And I went out and made it happen.
.
.
.
In 2015 I ran my first 100 in 28:58 and struggled to finish at @ltraceseries . I have now taken more than 15 hours off of that PR. There is no secret; hard work and lofty goals create success.

3 years ago I did the damn thing. 250 miles. Hallucinated murderous hedgehogs and giant Shreks in trees. Wasn’t the day(s) I wanted but learned a ton…
The itch to come back is stronger than ever… soon I’ll be back 😈. 2027? 2028?? Hmmmmm

Hug your friends. Tell them you love them. Make it weird.
That’s the summary of my February. Good friends. Doing epic things. Together.
I’m grateful for the people in my life. All of you. It’s been a long time since I’ve been so excited for what’s ahead.
Lots of other amazing stories from February as well, poorly summed up with a few pictures. From hitting new personal best in a half marathon, to the next day handing out medals at the Black Canyon 50k and hugging my people… lots of good food, good people, and a few epic things in the works. Best month in a long time.
A life long dream realized of representing my country at the highest level of sport.
Over two years ago I told coach @runfastah the goal of making Team USA for the 24 Hour World Championships for 2025 Worlds.
The last few years featured a lot of hard work. Ups, downs, highs and lows. Teamwork and dedication.
And now WE are here.
This morning I am putting on my bib, and my Team USA kit and will run for the USA. I am here with an incredible group of athletes, 6 men and 6 women who have earned their spots and this honor and today we all run for our country.
I am so proud to be a member of this team. And while our country has its issues, I’m running for what this flag is supposed to mean, and not for what our government currently is.
Now let’s fucking go USA 🇺🇸
Many many shoutouts for getting me here: but biggest are @runfastah@dr.allynelson.dpt@nutritionmechanic@littlejouppi
Here’s a special graphic we just dialed up for our good friend and absolute savage @runwithdon as he gears up to represent Team USA at the 24 Hour World Championships in Albi, France on October 18.
Twenty-four hours. Around a track. Toeing the line at the edge of what the human body, and mind, can endure.
This isn’t just running.
This is war with time itself.
Where space collapses, and hours stretch into hallucinations.
Where you’re not just chasing medals, but the outer limits of sanity.
This is what happens when you stop counting miles and start measuring madness.
This is the Death March.
Go get it, Don. Good luck to you and the rest of Team USA out there.

Debut run in the special edition RX:USA! 29 miles of loops right out of the box 😮💨
A special edition made for me and a few of my teammates on Team USA for the 24 Hour World Championships on October 18th in Albi, France!
So thankful to work with a brand that supports their athletes like @runspeedland and immediately said “yes” when I suggested the project.
Took home the win at the Creede 100 over the weekend! 🏆
Race report: the course ripped my legs off and my soul left my body for hours at a time, thankful to have won!
Not sure how I finished to be honest, other than the support of the team behind me. @coendurancejunkie pacing miles 55-80 and @littlejouppi and her parents getting my aid stations dialed in as always.
108 miles with an average elevation of 11,300 IS BRUTAL on a hot day. I didn’t give enough thought to the cumulative impact of being between 11,000-13500’ for so many hours and so far between aid stations.
I didn’t give this course the respect it deserved going into this race. Having run most of it during training, I didn’t think it was going to wreck me like it did… but where most races take you up and down from altitude… Creede just keeps you up there, exposed and tired.
Looking forward to a few days off… and then it’s time to train for the biggest goal of my life while wearing Team USA across my chest 🇺🇸 🤘

100 miles.
18,000 feet of climb.
23,000 feet down.
Blistering canyon heat.
No detours. Just. Forward.
Just a start line that takes years to reach - and a finish line that most never see.
Our SAYSKY colleague @donreichelt stood ready to support his buddy @coendurancejunkie through grueling miles of the @wser , offering encouragement, strength, and friendship money could never buy. Years of buildup, and now Shad was ready to take on 160 km of mountain heat, canyon silence, and the quiet war between body and mind.
It’s not about medals. It’s not even really about finishing.
It’s about staying out there when every part of you wants to stop.
When your legs are gone. When your vision’s blurred. When your thoughts are no longer useful.
It’s about finding something deeper - something still moving when everything else is done.
And yeah - when the hours stretch past 20, the gear you wear starts to matter too.
Because when it’s just you, the trail, and the voices inside your head - your kit better hold up as long as you do.
Massive respect to Shad for crossing that finish line in Auburn.
