🚨2RM@235 & 1RM@250 🚨 #strictpress personal records. Thought the 3rd was there with 235 but it got out of groove. I’ll have it soon! Reviewed the video, saw the speed of the 1st rep and decided I was capable of hitting 250 today. Hit it with a gnarly grind 😂💪 Also did some boring speed and position work with 405 #squats in the session. @northamericashighestgym 🏔️ #gym #workout #fitness #powerlifting #bodybuilding #powerbuilding #strongman #crossfit #gzcl #strengthtraining #strengthandconditioning

I’ve published several short stories on my #Substack Link to the latest is in my bio: Promethean. It’ll be a longer one compared to the last few. The style is a significant departure from those as well.

The GZCL Program on Boostcamp has helped 34k+ lifters build size and strength. Created by Cody Lefever, this program uses linear progression, making it a classic choice for beginners to novice lifters. GZCLP blends strength and hypertrophy through a simple tier system. Heavy compound lifts paired with structured accessory work for real, sustainable gains. There are two variations in the app depending on your availability, but the goal stays the same. Progress consistently and build strength the right way. Backed by hundreds of 5 star reviews. Start GZCLP for free on Boostcamp today. Train smart. Train strong 💪 . . . . . #strengthtraining #trainingapp #boostcampapp

Explaining what I’m doing with these stories I’m writing, and talking about how storytelling is a better foundation for training than science alone. Also, this is me living out Try Trying, a mantra I’ve tried to popularize. Maybe (hopefully) you’ll Try Trying also. It is scary, but fun. Drop your questions (and compliments) in the comments.

🐾 Zero 2011-2025 You are family. You are missed. We love you. You were a puppy and my daughter was three. She’s seventeen now and helped dig your grave. It broke me. Us in tears. It has been a hard week. I fear it getting easier because that means you’re even further away.

I used to work in an abandoned gold mine. It reminded me of how precious and fragile our physicality is. At the time I was starting college using the GI Bill. I ended up getting a minor in creative writing. In my profile is a link to a short story inspired by my two years working in the mine. Mother Lode is a claustrophobic story of greed and internal exploration. How far will Erik push himself underground? The format is inspired by one of my favorite books, House of Leaves. I hope to pay homage in my own way, using folklore and myth, and unusual structures to get the reader pulled down, into the Mother Lode. Link in bio.
