We are excited to announce that our group exhibition THE LAND REMEMBERS will be on view from 27 May - 2 June at GlogauAir Berlin @glogauair , and will examine the ongoing realities of Waste Colonialism. The term describes the export of waste from the Global North to the Global South, where the material consequences of overconsumption are displaced rather than resolved. What is framed as recycling, donation or circularity operates as a system that sustains imbalance. Consumption remains concentrated in one place, while its environmental and social costs are lived in another. In sustainability discourse, the language of exchange often suggests reciprocity. In practice, the conditions are uneven. Materials accumulate elsewhere, entering land, water and infrastructures already under strain.
The exhibition traces how waste moves, settles and persists. The works consider land and bodies as sites that register these movements over time. Memory here is not symbolic. It is material. Rather than approaching waste as an endpoint, the exhibition positions it as evidence of systems that continue to shape the present.
THE LAND REMEMBERS brings together works by artists working across video, installation and performance. Swipe through for a closer look at the six works featured in "On The Flip Side." The six visionary photographers featured each move fluidly between commercial and fine art photography practices.🚏 🚌
This exhibition "flips" their practices, turning JCDecaux bus shelters into intimate, reflective spaces. Plan your visit in NYC, Chicago, and Boston before April 5!

After building an incredible audience in Lagos and across parts of Africa, we realized that expanding the conversation around what it means to dream in Africa was just as important globally as it was at home. It became important for us to show the new age of Africa to a wider audience in the diaspora.
To begin our European tour, we partnered with @lagosxparis , @talkstudioparis , and @franceinnigeria to curate a three-day pop-up in Paris.
The first day featured an opening mixer with drinks, food, amazing products, and an exclusive @talkstudioparis x Pith tee, with music from Pith Sound System collaborative DJ @sehe.__ . We also hosted a Pith Sound System party in collaboration with @99ambush , with music from an incredible lineup of DJs @osatototo@lennongsound@basei210@omarmetwallygarcia
On the second day, we collaborated with @pablotshirtfactory to create an exclusive design on blanks provided by the Nike team, and officially opened our doors to the streets of Paris for people to come shop with us.
We wrapped up the first leg of the pop-up tour on the third day, as we now head to Amsterdam next.

The six artists of "On the Flip Side" transform @jcdecauxna bus shelters across NYC, Chicago, and Boston into spaces for reflection, intimacy, and image making that lingers. Advertising frames become portals, while waiting becomes looking. Turn your everyday commute into an unexpected encounter with art!

In a city engineered for velocity — where attention is bought, sold, and swallowed whole between subway transfers and headlines — tenderness now registers as an insurgent force. On the Flip Side, presented by Public Art Fund and curated by Jenée-Daria Strand, interrupts the transactional rhythm of urban life by replacing consumer persuasion with reflection, transforming 300 JCDecaux bus shelters across New York, Chicago, and Boston into sites of memory, identity, and diasporic storytelling. Spaces designed to sell instead ask viewers to pause, to look, and to recognize themselves in unfamiliar narratives.
Strand envisioned a “palatable sense of beauty and tenderness,” a curatorial stance that feels especially urgent in a visual culture saturated with spectacle, crisis imagery, and commodified emotion. Softness here signals not retreat but resistance.

Did you forget? 👀 We are ending Black History Month on a higher note because it is Black History Year and we only just ending the convocation friends.
There’s a difference between showing face and showing love, and all month long I witnessed that love through my family, friends, the talented @jeneedaria and a group of stellar artists who have dared to share their stories with us all.
Best of all, it was beautiful to reunite with familiar faces @caferuedix .
My high school bestie came through y’all!!🥹We talk about buying Black but we often forget that having a physical Black-owned space to gather is rare. Seriously, go show love to the people that labor 365 to make sure these spaces still exist.
If you made it this far, wishing you a bountiful Black History Year 🫶🏾
