Synopsis : Sokha, Joker et Kookie sont des Khmericains : des réfugiés politiques Cambodgiens ayant grandi aux États-Unis puis déportés vers le Cambodge après une peine de prison. Entre le groupe de Khmericains qu’ils reforment sur place et leurs quotidiens auprès de leurs nouvelles familles Khmères, ils oscillent entre deux mondes. Entre les vestiges d’une vie passée et l’avenir à construire. Sokha, Joker, and Kookie are Khmericans — Cambodian political refugees who grew up in the United States and were later deported to Cambodia after serving prison sentences. Reuniting with other Khmericans and navigating life with their new Khmer families, they find themselves caught between two worlds — between the remnants of a past life and the uncertain future they must now build. Sur les murs de Reflet Machine un rouleau de papier de 10 mètres de long dévoile des poèmes beat et contemporains. Le cut-up, inventé par Gysin, consiste à découper un texte, à le fragmenter, à le reconfigurer pour faire surgir du sens là où la langue prétendait maîtriser le réel. La permutation, quant à elle, prolonge ce geste en profondeur : elle réorganise les mots pour explorer toutes les combinaisons possibles d’une même phrase, révélant un poème sans auteur, une voix générée par le langage lui-même.
