Gen et Canblaster se rencontrent pour une création à l’ @hyperweekendfestival .
Ils n’étaient pas forcément voués à se croiser. C’est pourtant à l’Hyper Weekend Festival que @gen_fulgurance et @canblaster donnent naissance à une création commune, née d’une rencontre presque fortuite.
Entre rap et électronique, les deux artistes prolongent chacun à leur manière un esprit de dialogue et de rassemblement hérité de DJ Mehdi. Au Studio 104, ils ouvrent un espace partagé, un terrain d’expérimentation sonore prêt à déplacer les repères.

I didn’t forget you at Christmastime did I ?
It’s been a wild end of the year for me here in Paris, working on three different shows, between last week’s show at Gaîté Lyrique with Neurotypique and IRCAM’s team ACIDs, end of January’s Hyperweekend Festival with rapper Gen, and forthcoming project with drummer Lucie Antunes in mid-2026.
So a lot of new live music, but of course the beginning of my next LP is slowly writing in my mind…
So as I started gathering inspiration for new material, this mix is focused on chords and harmony that inspire me for the next disc I will start writing in 2026. Many different styles, and musics that have been on my mind for a long time, mixed with more recent tracks that touched me.
Please take care of yourselves, to take care of those around you.

Ce samedi, la, Gaîté Lyrique accueille la 10ᵉ édition de @_marathon_music avec NEUROSCAN A/V Live, projet né de la collaboration entre Canblaster et Neurotypique. Issu de leurs recherches à l’Ircam avec Nils, chercheur au sein de ce laboratoire musical, ce dispositif fusionne musique et visuel : la syntaxe modulaire de Canblaster dialogue avec les architectures génératives de Neurotypique, créant un système audioreactif où chaque son devient forme et chaque lumière, événement acoustique.
Figure de la scène électronique française, Canblaster développe depuis des années une approche expérimentale et sensorielle du son. Neurotypique, spécialiste de la création visuelle en temps réel, explore de nouvelles correspondances entre image et musique. Ensemble, ils offrent une expérience immersive, scientifique et poétique.
