For Crunch to be released, Compression must be added’ publication launch last friday📁 Started from the Balti Jaam pedestrian tunnel and dragged the publication dispenser (thank you Eo and Maria for making it!) all around Spring exhibition openings in Hobusepea, Draakon, Vabaduse and last Lasnamäe pavilion. We left the dispenser there, still might have some copies available📗 The publication gathers together announcements, divinations, exercises, game rules, instructions, preparations, recipes, reports and transcriptions by us, @eka_maca first year internationals @yiyangsunyiyang @sprotch.plof @maria.wr_art @edward_allspice @smallshirt_bigpants Rover, Nadya and me. The texts were created during writing practice course by @lievenlahaye , and the graphic designers behind this beautiful outcome are @selnea and @natalia___moro 🌟 maybe i’ll post more photos of the actual contents later..

To inaugurate the reopening of Uus Rada gallerii, we invite you to “𝘗𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴” from the 16th to the 25th of January. ⁣ ⁣ The show features reprises in new configurations by the artists 𝘓𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘢 𝘙𝘢𝘫𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯, 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘞𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨-𝘙𝘢𝘴𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘯, 𝘙𝘰𝘯𝘫𝘢 𝘚𝘪𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘯, & 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘒𝘢𝘳𝘫𝘶𝘴. After the sprint, the boot must be tightened again. ⁣ ⁣ Comprising various forms - sculptural, video, pictorial - the exhibition balances a precarious mood between playful suffocation and a tentative step. This tinged-sinister roundabout leads through experimentation of material to a provisional illumination.⁣ ⁣ The exhibition opens on the 𝟏𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝟏𝟖:𝟎𝟎 and can furthermore be visited from 𝟏𝟕-𝟎𝟏 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟓-𝟎𝟏 𝐛𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

The box contained pine needles and fresh moss. In sound waves it can be heard in everyday life, but with light waves the effect is not observable with the human eye. 🚑 In this project researchers P & R try to catch the Doppler effect in its visual form with interviews, speculation, imagination and photographic methods. The publication, made up of two parallel zines (𝘋𝘌 𝘋𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 & 𝘙𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘧𝘵), will be launched next weekend at the @fairenough_bookfair in Tallinn (10–11.5. at @disainimuuseum ). An exhibition related to the project will also open at the @metropolkapp Gallery in Kalamaja (Vana-Kalamaja 46). 🇪🇪 We will also hold an outdoor publication launch party in Helsinki on Thursday 22.5., more details TBA! ⏩️ Petja Heiskanen (b. 1997) and Ronja Siitonen (b. 1997) are Helsinki-based visual artists working mainly with photography, video, and text. Perjantaina kaikille avoimet lopettajaiset klo 18-20 tervetuloaaaaa Kiitos kuraattori Miina Hujala ja kiitos myös @0scarmack isosta isosta avusta näyttelyn suunnittelun ja rakennuksen eri vaiheissa🏋🏻Yhessä tekeminen on kaiken pointti. Osan kehyksistä (eli nii monet mihi vaa oli varaa) on tehnyt @veeti.valkama 🫶🏻
