𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐍𝐎. 𝟒 □23.05.26.-14.06.26□ Join us for the exhibition's opening event on Friday, 22.05.26 at 18:00! Entrance no. 4 features a selection of work from the second year MACA/MAKK programme, with the stage being activated during the opening by @anumai.raska 's performance starting at 19:00. Entrance No. 4 transforms the ARS Project Space into a stage of sorts, where the audience engages with the artworks on show through a series of curtailed entranceways, examining ideas of control, illusionary realities and voyeuristic tendencies. Through actively herding and throttling the viewing experience, Entrance No. 4 demands a re-examination of how artworks are seen and engaged with, reflecting upon how images are shared and diffused within contemporary life. When navigating the purposefully oblique space one will have the opportunity to encounter work from 11 artists currently undergoing a Masters in Contemporary Art at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Artworks on show range from painting and sculpture to video and installation, engaging with ideas associated with the home, climate collapse and our collectively fraught relationship with the body and physical spaces. Artists: Bob Bicknell-Knight, Giulio Cusinato, Anastasiia Krapivina, Kroplya, Denis Kudrjašov, Lisette Lepik, Fausta Noreikaitė, Rosa-Maria Nuutinen, Kertu Rannula, Anumai Raska, Nora Schmelter Curators: Bob Bicknell-Knight, Rosa-Maria Nuutinen and Nora Schmelter Graphic Design: Chloé Gourvennec and Ethan Anthony Read Opening hours: Tue - Fri: 12:00 - 18:00 Sat - Sun: 12:00 - 16:00 Address: ARS Project Space, Pärnu mnt 154, Tallinn 11317 The exhibition is supported by ARS Kunstilinnak, Estonian Acadamy of Art, Estonian Artists’ Association, Nudist, Põhjala Brewery, Tuletorn.

Welcome to an open lecture by @pankajyavanika ⛺️ In the lecture, Tiwari will introduce TENT: A School of Performative Practices — not as a proposal, but as an intervention. TENT is a nomadic, collective, and deliberately unfinished institution that refuses permanence, refuses neutrality, and refuses to wait for permission. Emerging from lived experience and structural exclusion, TENT is built from the ground up: without fixed walls, without inherited authority, and without the illusion that change can happen from within the same frameworks that produced the problem. “Contemporary art institutions speak the language of inclusion, while their structures remain largely unchanged,” says Tiwari. “This is not a conversation about reform. It is an attempt at construction.” The lecture moves between dream and reality, critique and action, asking a simple but urgent question: if institutions cannot change, what does it take to build new ones — and who gets to build them? MAKK&MACA students are participating in Pankaj’ TENT plaform with their programme TENTative Practices which unfolds across several days within and around the tent. Students: @mingzhu_art , Sarah Riley, @ronjasiitonen , @sprotch.plof , @yvi_schlgtr , @lottqkqroliinq — events by them, supervised by @yvettebathgate and @jake.r.shepherd , in Kumu courtyard on 11 May and 13 May. See you in EKA and @kumukunstimuuseum ⛺️

Laupäeval alustab Kumu hoovis Pankaj Tiwari telgikool „TELK: Kaasavate Praktikate Kool“. Telgikooli programm tõukub vajadusest leida ühisosa ajal, mil sõjad ning geopoliitilised ja ökoloogilised kriisid aina süvenevad. Meie ühiseid elusid puudutavad (globaalsed) väljakutsed on muutunud nii suureks, et nendele vastamiseks on vaja teha koostööd. Samal ajal seisame silmitsi üha enam polariseerunud ühiskonnaga, mis omakorda vähendab meie koostöövõimet. Just sellega „Harjutused ühte hoidmiseks“ programm tegelebki – ühisosa leidmisega ajastul, millal selle leidmine tundub aina keerulisem. Telgikool pakub ruumi õppimiseks, kuidas viibida selles ebamugavas läbirääkimiste ja koostöö ruumis koos erineva taustaga inimestega. ⛺ Kaheteistkümnepäevane programm hõlmab performance’eid, töötubasid, lugemisringe, loenguid ja palju muud. Iga sündmus panustab omal viisil kollektiivse ja koostöise praktika sõnavara ja oskuste arendamisse. Kõik üritused on tasuta! Kogu programmiga saad tutvuda kodulehel kumu.ekm.ee / On Saturday, Pankaj Tiwari’s “TENT: School for Performative Practices” begins in the courtyard of Kumu. The programme is born out of an urgency to find common ground during a time when war, geo-political and ecological crisis are continuously intensifying. Challenges facing our shared lives have become so big that to meet them only collaborative action has the potential to be affective. At the same time our politics and societies have become increasingly more polarised which diminishes our abilities for collaboration. This is the core of what Rehearsals for Solidarity aims to tackle, to find common ground and learn to be in that uncomfortable space of negotiation and collaboration with people of diverse backgrounds. ⛺ The ten day programme consists of performances, workshops, readings, lectures and more. Each of the events in some way adds to the vocabulary and skill of collective, collaborative practice. Participation is free of charge! You can explore the full programme on the website kumu.ekm.ee/en @pankajyavanika @banyan_tent #kumu #kumuevent #TENT #infinitedances

For Crunch to be released, Compression must be added’ publication launch last friday📁 Started from the Balti Jaam pedestrian tunnel and dragged the publication dispenser (thank you Eo and Maria for making it!) all around Spring exhibition openings in Hobusepea, Draakon, Vabaduse and last Lasnamäe pavilion. We left the dispenser there, still might have some copies available📗 The publication gathers together announcements, divinations, exercises, game rules, instructions, preparations, recipes, reports and transcriptions by us, @eka_maca first year internationals @yiyangsunyiyang @sprotch.plof @maria.wr_art @edward_allspice @smallshirt_bigpants Rover, Nadya and me. The texts were created during writing practice course by @lievenlahaye , and the graphic designers behind this beautiful outcome are @selnea and @natalia___moro 🌟 maybe i’ll post more photos of the actual contents later..
