As they prepare to release ‘The Mountain’ on Feb. 27, 2026, co-founders Damon Albarn (@damonalbarn ) and Jamie Hewlett (@hewll ) reflect on how grief, India, and Eastern philosophies around death and reincarnation brought them back on the same creative wavelength after years, and shaped their most powerfully poignant album to date. NAV (@nav ) is Rolling Stone India’s November/December 2025 cover star. In a rare, unguarded conversation, he looks back on growing up brown in Canada, the years of listening too closely, and the moment he chose to shut the noise out. From Rexdale basements to global stages, NAV talks about closing the chapter on “Old NAV,” protecting his mental health, and why peace, control, and clarity matter more than chasing expectations. Composer and producer Anurag Saikia (@anuraag_psychaea ) has signed a landmark publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music (WCM) @warnerchappellmusic , making him one of the first Indian artists to partner with the global major — a significant moment for the country’s music composers who thrive within and outside of the film and OTT space. Saikia is best known to OTT audiences for scoring TVF’s beloved comedy-drama Panchayat including the song “Paheli,” and for “Ishq Hai,” the smash 2024 single from the third season of Mismatched. His film work spans socially charged Bollywood titles including Thappad and Article 15, while his most personal project — Project Borgeet, his 2019 recordings of ancient Assamese devotional songs arranged for an 85-piece Macedonian orchestra and a choir from Shillong — leans into his folk-fusion side. Under the agreement, WCM will represent Saikia’s catalog and future works across key global markets, likely opening new pathways in film, television, and mainstream music. The deal comes shortly after Warner Chappell Music launched direct operations in India, allowing signings to happen on the ground rather than through international intermediaries. Right off the bat, it’s clear that Colombian megastar J Balvin (@jbalvin ) and Colm Dillane, the creative force behind streetwear brand KidSuper (@kidsuper ), have the kind of unfiltered chemistry that only comes from a deep, sometimes delusional, level of belief in both themselves and each other. We hang out with them in a tucked-away bar space above KidSuper’s Brooklyn studio on a drizzly day in New York as the longtime friends gear up to launch a new collaboration as part of Jameson Irish Whiskey’s (@jamesonwhiskey ) ‘It’s What You Bring’ campaign. The first-ever India performance by Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has been called off just over a week before the planned Delhi show on May 23. The one-night-only performance, which was slated to bring his new globe stage to the country, was set to take place at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. In a statement, organizers said the show “has been officially cancelled following security advisories and directives issued by the concerned government and law enforcement authorities amid the current high-alert situation in the capital.” The organizers also said that full refunds will be issued to all ticket holders, adding that they are currently working with the artist’s team to explore new dates and venues. The news comes amid a string of cancellations and setbacks for Ye across the U.K. and Europe following backlash over his past antisemitic remarks. The rapper also recently lost a copyright infringement trial over an uncleared sample used in versions of his song Hurricane. [Ye, Kanye West, India Tour, News, Rolling Stone India]

After a relatively quiet stretch following 2023’s ‘Mulaqat’, Prateek Kuhad (@prateekkuhad ) is back with a new full-length project. The singer-songwriter has announced his third studio album, Full Moon Chamber, out on July 10 via Atlantic Records, alongside the release of its lead single, “Blush.” The new track leans into the intimate, emotionally charged songwriting Kuhad has built his career on, opening with gentle guitar riffs before unfolding into a hazy meditation on infatuation. “It’s that heady feeling of infatuation that comes with meeting somebody and falling for them hard,” Kuhad said in a statement. The music video for “Blush” echoes the “cold/mess” singer’s signature understated, lo-fi aesthetic, cutting between Kuhad strumming his guitar in a stripped-back room and grainy close-ups capturing the vulnerability of new romance.
