The Rolling Stone Interview Archive — Over 50 years of in-depth conversation. This was one of my favorite projects this year. Here you’ll find 175 (and counting!) conversations with legends from the 1960s to today. Since we launched earlier this year (what you’ll see in the screen recordings here), an entire new batch of interviewees has graced this custom website. @rollingstone The plight of cult band Blue Smiley shows how the deck is stacked against indie musicians. This story is about more than potential fraud –– it’s a story of how loss and music can stretch through the years, shaping the lives of everyone they touch. It’s the story of an analog band that couldn’t have attained its modern success without the help of an increasingly isolated, algorithm-driven world. And it’s the story of a kid named Brian, who wanted to make music with his friends.

As Latin music keeps exploding in new directions, @rollingstone takes a look at some of the most exciting scenes and game-changing stars. Our portal includes in-depth interviews with @nicki.nicole and @akapellahh (both photographed by the amazing @maju.rogo ), a deep dive into the Colombian rap scene, a look at how Latin music is having its own pop girl moment, the rise of reggaeton Mexa, and a lot more.
