Happy Mother's Day!
Moms got the royal treatment a day early during a special event just for them at Lakewood Ranch's Waterside Place.
Petals and Poses featured plenty of booths for flowers, snacks, and services for moms. It also included a fashion show.
Funds generated by the event were donated to the Mothers Helping Mothers nonprofit.

Corvette sports cars and the people who love them were out in force on St. Armands Circle to help raise money for Southwest Florida Honor Flight, the organization that transports veterans to Washington, D.C., to be honored at memorial sites.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Tush family’s ownership of Siesta Key’s CB’s Saltwater Outfitters (@cbsoutfitters ).
The company has grown over the years to include a vast selection of clothing and beach products, a rental fleet of 18 boats, fishing charters, Jet Ski and golf cart rentals, and parasailing and Tiki-boat tours.
In addition, CB’s has expanded from its original footprint to include the next-door Fin Island Co. boutique. In 2011, at Mason’s behest, the company bought an adjacent BP gas station, tore it down and put up a new building. They lease the top floor to the Daiquiri Deck.

Things were decidedly green at the recent Irish Celtic Festival in Lakewood Ranch's Greenbrook Adventure Park, naturally. There was music, food, dancing and a dog costume contest. "It was beautiful day in Lakewood Ranch for everyone," said Leslie Jones, a bagpiper in the Lion Rampant Pipes and Drums band. "The audience appreciated our music and many stopped by to visit and thank the musicians."
