I’m not in Italy at the moment, but thanks to @mauriziofiorino I’m profiled in this weekend’s @drepubblicait magazine. Such a pleasure to speak to him about how NYC continues to inspire my creativity and talk about some of my favorite places. It’s not an exhaustive list—just a few pockets of Manhattan I find myself when I’m looking for something to draw, read, eat, watch the world or maybe sip a martini.

@maiarellistudio・・・Maiarelli Studio has designed Grid, the guide to the 2026 edition of NYCxDESIGN Festival. The editor was Melissa Feldman with help from Danine Alati, and the cover illustration is by Rob Wilson. This is our third year collaborating with NYCxDESIGN to promote what has become the official New York design week. So many swans a-swimming last night at @chezfifinyc celebrating @shopdoen. I joined the party by sketching for guests—everything from martinis to Manhattan, taxis to tortoises, horses to hounds. And quite a few cats. Big hugs to @fgcollective_ @graceharris @farrellmcrowley for such a memorable night x
